ASICS Future Stars: Top 5 Juniors
We have made it to our junior class with our installment of ASICS Future Stars.

The top five guys in our junior class are some of the most dominant and highly decorated wrestlers in the country. This set of guys are a coach’s dream wrester to coach and have been in conversation as the best to ever do it.

So let’s check ‘em out.

Spencer Lee, PA
What can you say about the World Champion? He’s so incredibly dominant that not even an injured shoulder could slow him down. Currently, he has his eyes set on another world title and is looking to become the first to ever win two junior world titles.

He’s already won three state titles, Super 32, Ironman and verbally committed to Iowa. Spencer Lee is a truly complete wrestler. He’s tough to score on, tough to defend and has the pressure of a guy 10 times his size. It’s easy to see why he is the #1-ranked wrestler at his weight and in the junior class.

Yianni Diakomihalis, NY
Who else could follow up one World Champ then another World Champ? Yianni Diakomihalis, or more commonly known as just Yianni, maybe be the best scrambler in the country. If you’re going to shoot on him, you better be prepared to either go in circles or have your defense ready because he’s going to turn your offense into his own points.

Yianni D has great fluid motion and strikes like a python. Along with his world title, he’s got a couple Super 32 belts, a FloNational title and multiple NY state titles. The Cornell Big Red is getting a serious stud.

Daton Fix, OK
The Oklahoma kid with the most unstoppable big move in the country comes in at #3 on the Junior Big Board. Like the other two before him, he’s got multiple titles. However, the World gold hasn’t made it to his trophy case just yet as he brought home the bronze last year from the World Championships.

Unlike Spencer and Yianni, Fix has yet to make his college decision. He’s got plenty of schools after him that will be eagerly waiting to see his choice on the FloWrestling Live Signing Day Special.

Chase Singletary, NJ
The Blair Academy beast. Singletary climbed the ladder in his weight class this year to become the #1-ranked 195-pounder in the country.

He was the only guy to defeat NC State Nick Reenan this season, who was patrolling both the top of the 182 and 195-pound classes. And he didn’t just do it once, he did it twice. Singletary won titles at Ironman as well as National Preps when he claimed his second win over Reenan. He also hasn’t made his college decision yet, but whoever gets him will be getting a very versatile big man.

Mikey Labriola, PA
The Nebraska-bound junior, who his teammates call “Cobra” won his first PA state title this season and has progressed into a potential candidate for the top spot in his weight class.

Labriola has an incredibly tiring style where he puts so much pressure on his opponents that keeping up with his relentless pace is almost impossible. Along with his own state title, he helped Bethlehem Catholic to another team state title and a runner-up finish at Who’s No. 1 Duals. Last season he was a Beast of the East runner-up and King of the Mountain Champ.
