Baby Flo Goes Ness Against Illinois
Nico uses the "Crazy Ness Roll" to finish off a takedown on Edelen.
Everyone knows that Dylan Ness has some crazy technique that had everyone in amazement for years. Usually, it was just D. Ness doing D. Ness type things.
Lucky for us we've been able to capture plenty of it for your viewing pleasure. But back in December, Bader took a trip to the house of the Gophers and came back with some of Ness' techniques that showed up this weekend during the Penn State vs. Illinois dual meet when Nico Megaludis used the "Crazy Ness Roll" to finish off a takedown.
Nico had been dominating the match, scoring at will with a few different takedowns on Francis Edelen, who he later went on to tech 24-9. But the finish was instantly caught by Ness who tweeted about it with a frame-by-frame breakdown of Nico using the technique.
It was so smooth, we could watch it all day.
Check out Nico's dominant performance from this weekend as the Nittany Lions roll over the Illini.
It seems like this may have been something that the Gophers worked on for a while because in last year's 3rd place match at the NCAA tournament, Chris Dardanes used it to takedown AJ Schopp. School reacted differently to the roll, but the result was all the same.
And here is Ness giving a step-by-step lesson of his wrap arm finish.
