2013: Burroughs Wins Worlds 26 Days After Breaking Ankle
Jordan Burroughs just won his fourth World/Olympic title this past weekend in Las Vegas, NV. Let's take a look back at one of the most dramatic title runs in quite some time.
In 2013 Jordan Burroughs pulled off one of the most remarkable feats in wrestling by winning a World Championship just 26 days after breaking his ankle. The same night as the injury he underwent surgery and had two metal plates and five screws put into his ankle.
FloWrestling documented Jordan Burroughs' 2013 World Championship performance in All Access: Budapest.
Burroughs' coach Mark Manning was there when the injury happened. Immediately following Jordan's gold medal match in 2013 Manning walks us through the injury, what happened that night and the days and weeks to follow.
