NATIONALLY-RANKED HOOSIERS
Four Hoosiers are ranked amongst the country's elite this week:
#5 Taylor Walsh (157 lbs)
#8 Adam Chalfant (285 lbs)
#14 Luke Sheridan (184 lbs)
#22 Ryan LeBlanc (165 lbs)

PIN KING
Redshirt junior Taylor Walsh is racking up pins at an all-time rate through the first five weeks of the season. Walsh sits at 20-0 with 17 falls. Cornell's Kyle Dake paced all of D-I wrestling with 18 pins during the entire 2012-13 season.

Walsh's 17 pins already rank third all-time at IU for a single season, chasing the top spot of 19 by Rod Chamberlin in 1981. The slap of the mat from a referee's palm is nothing new for Walsh, accumulating 38 pins in his career thus far (fifth most in school history).

PROTECTING THEIR HOME
A trio of Hoosiers in Ryan LeBlancLuke Sheridan and Adam Chalfant are 7-0 inside University Gym thus far this season, sweeping a tri-meet vs. Cleveland State/Duke and a five-bout Hoosier Duals. Taylor Walsh is yet to suffer a loss at home either, sitting out the tri-meet before pinning his way through the Hoosier Duals.

BIG TEN DOING BIG THINGS
As a conference, the Big Ten is a combined 50-10 in 60 non-conference duals during the 2013-14 campaign, good for a 83.3 winning percentage. Ten B1G schools can be found in the USA Today Coaches Poll Top-25 and nine conference teams crack Intermat's Top-25 this week.

POWLESS BACK ON BOARD
Storied Hoosier Matt Powless was hired as an assitant coach in early December. The 2011 All-American joined the coaching staff full-time after serving as the volunteer coach since 2012 while completing his master's degree.

KEYSTONE CLASSIC RUNNER-UPS
Hoosier Wrestling placed second at the 2013 Keystone Classic, besting three Top-25 teams in the final standings. Indiana's strong performance came on the b ack of four individual finalists, including tournament champions Ethan Raley (141 lbs) and Taylor Walsh (157 lbs).

In addition, runner-ups Luke Sheridan (184 lbs) and Adam Chalfant (285 lbs) also reached the finals. Joe Duca (125 lbs) and Ryan LeBlanc (165 lbs) each placed fifth in their respective weight classes.
