While most eyes will be focused on the happenings in Las Vegas this week at the ASICS U.S Open, don't forget that there will be plenty of junior stars making hitting the mats in Havana, Cuba at the UWW Junior Pan American Championships.

The men’s team will compete in both Freestyle and Greco while the women will only compete in Freestyle.

Coached by Air Force’s Sam Barber, Campbell’s Cary Kolat and Blair’s Brian Antonelli, the men’s team includes Cadet World Team members #3-Gavin Teasdale (50kg),#1-Cade Olivas (55kg), who is also a 2013 Cadet Greco bronze medalist, #6-Taylor LaMont (60kg) and #6-Nick Reenan (74kg).



Fellow past Cadet World Team members Danny Boychuck (66kg) and Ethan Andersen (96kg) will look to anchor the team, as well.

Wyoming Seminary (Pa.) Prep National champs Mike Rogers (120kg) and Chris Weiler (84kg) round out the men's line-up

Junior World Silver medalist Kayla Miracle (59kg), who is also a 2013 Cadet World silver medalist and 2011 Cadet World team member, will look to lead the women’s freestyle team.

            

Miracle will look to repeat her performance from last year’s Pan Ams where she took home the gold. Amy Hou, who was also a Pan Am finalists last year placing second, will return to the line up at 51kg.

Regina Doi, a three-time Cadet World team member and fellow Cadet World silver medalist will look to lead Team USA as well at 44kg. World Team Members Cody Pfau and Becka Leathers will compete at 48kg and 55kg, respectively.
