D1 Redshirt Report-133
Yesterday I rolled out my 125 Redshirt Report.  You'll notice that that was an especially deep and talented weight.  125 was uncharacteristically tough compared to other weights, including this one.

Recall these reports don't only include redshirts (though they do for this particular weight) and we consider the best incoming guys in general.  Let's get started with 133!  Who did I miss/sleep on?  Comment below!

Nathan Kraisser-Campbell- We will see Kraisser in a new uniform next year. The former UNC Tarheel followed Coach Cary Kolat to Campbell. Kraisser will be entering his Junior season and will provide a much needed boost to the Campbell roster. Kraisser had an up and down Sophomore campaign but his wins were excellent having beaten Joey Dance, Brandon Jeske, Anthony Zanetta, Jamie Franco and more. Mixed among those were a few unsettling losses but Kraisser’s skills are undeniable. Kraisser is an excellent top wrestler and maybe one of the best scramblers at the entire weight. The move up to 133 could potentially help Nathan with his consistency. Last year while redshirting he fell to Bruno and Soto, while his notable wins included Mitch Finesilver and Emilio Saavedra. Kraisser to me is the guy with the most upside coming off of redshirt at this weight.  Check out Kraisser taking out Ronnie Bresser in 2013.

Joey Palmer-Oregon State-Another hammer entering his Junior season, we will likely see Palmer at 133. He redshirted this year and had a very solid 20-1 record. His lone loss was to Danny Sabatello and he notched wins over Jade Rauser, Jack Hathaway (teammate) and Gary Wayne Harding. Palmer has always had flashes of ability. It was 2 years ago we saw him take out Zane Richards of Illinois.

Josh Alber-Northern Iowa-The Schwab Mob rolls out one of their big recruits from 2 years ago in Josh Alber. The Illinois product took his lumps in redshirt, but the word is the kid will be ready to make an impact next year. Alber upped his stock considerably in high school when he knocked off Jered Cortez. This year during Redshirt he split with Zach Synon, Missouri’s 133 starter and lost to Harding, Gasca, Giraldo and Nickell. He has the goods on his feet, and it sounds like he’s making strides on top as well.

Kyle Ayersman-Purdue-I’m curious where Ayersman slots in. He was better at 133, but the barrier of Danny Sabatello may prohibit him from starting. He wrestled at 141 but was less productive. No inside information here. He just wrestled most of the year and was better at 133, so that’s why I’m inserting Kyle here. He knocked off George Fisher, Garth Yenter and Jack Hathaway last year. No real bad losses either apart from Godwin Nyama. When you consider the trajectory of the Purdue program, don’t be surprised if Kyle has a nice year at 133 or 141.

Chase Zemenak-Bloomsburg-It was a solid, not spectacular redshirt campaign for Zemenak. He may not set the world on fire next year, but I think he will be quality. He was extremely active, competing in 6 tournaments without a bad loss at 133. His 133 losses of note were to Giraldo, Delvecchio, Deutsch and Cortez at 133.

Anthony Giraldo-Rutgers-Looking forward to watching this guy next year. The question is where he fits? They still have a redshirt year to play with for last years starter at Rutgers, Scott Delvecchio, who was ranked much of the season. Will they use it or shift weights around? Who knows, but they can’t go up to 41 (Shnaulty B Mobbin AKA A-Town Down AKA Anthony Ashnault is there) I doubt either goes 125 either. So look for Giraldo to give it a go this year for Rutgers at 133. He knocked off Kevin Devoy, Caleb Richardson, Josh Alber and Esteban Gomez-Rivera this year. No real bad losses down at 133 apart from Kyle Norstrem who was in and out of the rankings all year.

Dennis Gustafson-Virginia Tech-Dennis is a new entry.  I had him penciled in at 141 considering that's where he wrestled his entire Redshirt year and he would slot in to replace Devin Carter next year.  It's possible that's not the plan.  Gustafson was an NCAA qualifier as a True Freshman at 133. Last year he knocked off Jordan Laster, Chuck Zeisloft, Nick Soto, Joey Palmer and Troy Heilmann.  This year at 141 he battled some injuries, wrestling aroudn 15 matches and falling to Kyle Springer, Matthew Kraus and Dalton Brady while upending Rutgers redshirt Tyson Dippery.  Gustafson is a goer who finds himself in high scoring affairs.  The talent is unquestionable and he'll be very tough at 133 next year though he'll have to beat out returning NCAAQualifier Kyle Nortsrem in the process it would seem.
