The Super 32 is firmly entrenched as one of America's premier events. Now a cornerstone of the wrestling landscape, hordes of talent travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, each fall.

What started off as a local preseason tune-up has turned in to a fire-breathing monster that serves as a referendum for ranking and status.

The action starts Saturday and continues with one of the great rounds in all of wrestling - quarterfinals on Sunday morning.

Catch All The Action LIVE on FLOPRO.

The hammers that have competed in the fourteen previous years of the Super 32 are now on to college where they are becoming the biggest names on the scene.

Seven of the twenty NCAA DI finalists, including exactly half of the champions, were placers at the Super 32. Last year at NCAA's, twenty-one of the eighty All Americans were former S32 placers.

Five of the All Americans at 149 had placed at Super 32 while half of those at 141 did as well.

At 149, two former Super 32 finalists met in the championship bout with Jason Tsirtsis edging Josh Kindig.

2014 NCAA Champions from past S32's:
1. Tony Ramos (133) - Iowa
2. Jason Tsirtsis (149) - Northwestern
3. David Taylor (165) - Penn St.
4. Ed Ruth - (184) Penn St.
5. Nick Gwiazdowski (HWT) - NC State

Runners-Up:
6. Devin Carter (141) - Virginia Tech
7. Josh Kindig (149) - OK State

Other All Americans:
8. Joey Dance (125) - Virginia Tech
9. Darian Cruz (125) - Lehigh
10. Earl Hall (125) - Iowa St.
11. AJ Schopp (133) - Edinboro
12. Mitchell Port (141) - Edinboro
13. Zain Retherford (141) - Penn St.
14. Joey Lazor (141) - UNI
15. Stephen Dutton (141) - Michigan
16. Eric Grajales (149) - Michigan
17. David Habat (149) - Edinboro
18. Mitch Minotti (149) - Lehigh
19. James Green (157) - Nebraska
20. Anthony Perrotti (157) - Rutgers
21. Chris Penny (197) - Virginia Tech

There were a couple wrestlers at the 2013 Super 32 that joined elite company.

Ryan Millhof, Sam Krivus, and Chance Marsteller won their second titles. Millhof ended his Super 32 career with placings of 3-1-1. Krivus was 6th as a freshman and has a chance to become the first member of the 3-timer club since 2008, a group that currently has five members.

Marsteller won a title in 2011 and did not compete in 2012.

Michael Kemerer reached the finals for the third straight year. He won a title as a freshman at 106 (beating Matt Kolodzik) before losing in the 126lb finals to Joey Dance as a Soph. and at 132 to Sam Krivus last year. Making a final this year would put him in the 4-time finalist club with just two other members: Ashtin Primus and Dance.

Though we're a long way off from this, Nick Suriano and Spencer Lee reached the finals again, keeping alive their chances of joining that club. The two split their finals matches the last two years. Lee made the finals as an eighth grader and has the potential to reach five finals.

Another interesting tidbit is that three champions at Super 32 last year were in the same PA State Wrestling bracket the prior winter.

Chance Marsteller won the title, while Garrett Peppelman and Zack Zavatsky were 2nd and 3rd.

They won consecutive titles at S32 from 160 through 182.

Fr. Jaden Mattox, OH
Fr. Cody Phippen, KS – Fargo AA

The Situation: Cadet World Teammates Olivas and Teasdale met at Who's #1 last week with neither scoring a takedown. Olivas won with a set of backpoints. I like a similar result in Greensboro.
The X-Factor here is Guitterez. His lofty ranking is due in large part to a Reno TOC title where he beat NJ state runner-up Brandon Paetzell and Ian Timmins, who would go on to reach Fargo finals. He hasn't wrestled a bulky national schedule, but as a returning 106, he's going to be a handful.
A state runner-up to Drew West last year, Justin Portillo has been wrestling very well. And as usual, there are a host of talented Freshmen at the opening weight. Phippen, Mosely, and Glory all appear on the FR Big Board

I Got a Feelin': Call it a hunch, but I think Matty Parker's time has come. He'll make a deep run. Book it! If there is another darkhorse, I'll take Joey Silva, a state champ as an eighth grader.

The Picks:
Willie: 1. Olivas (CA)  2. Parker (PA)  3. Teasdale (PA)  4. Guitterez (CO)

*#9-Jason Renteria, IL - Has Scratched

The Situation: Spencer Lee is a 2x finalist here and the returning champ. It's his first folk appearance since winning a state title in March. In the interim, he dominated his way to FILA and Cadet World titles. He's the prohibitive favorite as the #2 overall pound-for-pound wrestler in the country.
The question is - who will meet him in the finals?
There are certainly no shortage of quality guys behind him with a whopping 6 kids who have reached a Fargo/FILA final, including Lee's teammate Devin Brown.
I think most will have Danny Vega, who looked unbelievable in Fargo, as next in the pecking order.
Indiana boys Konrath and Hildebrandt had coming out parties in Fargo. Konrath beat Ian Timmins in the finals; Timmins had dethroned Gfeller, the 2013 Fargo Champ, earlier in the tournament.
There are also a host of state finalists from power states. In true S32 fashion, there are land mines everywhere. You're gonna have to run the gauntlet.

I Got a Feelin': Caleb Smith. Konrath was a revelation at Fargo this summer. And Smith just knocked him off at Grappler Fall Classic.

The Picks:
Willie:  1. Lee (PA)   2. Smith (FL)   3. Gfeller (OK)   4. Brown (PA)
Ryan:  1. Lee (PA)   2. Vega (AZ)   3. Brown (PA)   4. Gfeller (OK)
Vinny: 1. Lee (PA)   2. Gfeller (OK)   3. Brown (PA)   4. Vega (AZ)
Nick:  1. Lee (PA)   2. Vega (AZ)   3. Gfeller (OK)   4. Brown (PA)

The Situation: Grudge match. We're all looking forward to a Fix-Suriano showdown. They've wrestled a cumulative time of 36 minutes with just a single takedown. Suriano has proven he's just about un-takedown-able. Fix has proven he has the gas tank to wrestle for eternities.
As much as everyone is anticipating that match, there are very tangible threats, in particular, the New Yorkers. Yianni, a FloNats Champ and Fargo finalist, certainly has the ability to beat either. And Arajua, a FloNats runner-up, is a grinder that is built for a tournament like this.
Alex Mackall has had a really good preseason. His stock is shooting up. And watch for Coltan Williams. He has consistency issues so I'm not sure he can string together matches to make a deep run, but he'll undoubtedly cause an upset somewhere.
I also like FloNats finalist Yates (runner-up to Yianni). But I think he's undersized at 120.

I Got a Feelin': It's an incredibly deep weight and we all know the major players. I'd like to go with Trout, who's really turned it out. But I don't consider him a darkhorse. He's been a known commodity on the national scene for a while.
I'm going in deep here - if I'm looking for an otherwise unheralded guy (nationally) to cause a stir, I'll take Michigan's Benny Gomez.
Also pay attention to PA Sophomore KJ Fenstermacher who had a really promising freshman campaign before breaking both hands.

The Picks:
Willie:  1. Suriano (NJ)   2. Fix (OK)   3. Yianni (NY)   4. Norstrem (FL)
Ryan:   1. Fix (OK)   2. Suriano (NJ)   3. Yianni (NY)   4. Karam (PA)
Vinny:  1. Fix (OK)   2. Suriano (NJ)   3. Yianni (NY)   4. Trout (NE)
Nick:  1. Fix (OK)   2. Suriano (NJ)   3. Yianni (NY)   4. Moody (OK)

126: Entries (162)

2013 Final: Ryan Millhof, GA, dec. Dom Forys, PA, 3-0.

Jr. Alius Delarosa, ID
So. Quinn Devaney, MD
So. Jake Brindley, FL – State Champ
Fr. Bill Janzer, NJ

The Situation: In a sense, the #1 ranking at 126 is on the line. Returning Champ Pletcher had that spot until losing to Piccininni in FloNationals finals. Picc then took the #1 moniker until losing to Kaid Brock at WNO. But McKee beat Brock twice this summer.
The three could be considered the top tier, with the Red-Simmons-Rodriguez-Olson knocking on the door.
At the end of the day, I'm going with Pletcher. I think there's a fire burning in his belly and that he's had this date circled for a long time. He did it last year, and certainly has the skills to do it again.

I Got a Feelin': As deep as the weight is (11 ranked) there are a number of unranked kids at this weight that I think have a very realistic shot to get on the podium. Good odds that D'Arcy, Pomrinca, and Zdebski will play a part in how this bracket unfolds.

The Picks:
Willie:  1. Pletcher (PA)  2. McKee (MN)   3. Piccininni (NY)    4. Olson (MI)
Ryan:   1. McKee (MN)   2. Piccininni (NY)  3. Pletcher (PA)   4. Simmons (OK)
Vinny:  1. Piccininni (NY)   2. McKee (MN)   3. Pletcher (PA)   4. Red (IN)
Nick:  1. Piccininni (NY)   2. McKee (MN)   3. Pletcher (PA)   4. Simmons (OK)

132: Entries (153)

2013 Final: Sam Krivus, PA, dec. Michael Kemerer, PA, 2-1.
2010 Final: (130) Ethan Raley, IN, dec. Brandon Jeske, VA, 5-3.

Fr. Justin Ruffin, GA
Fr. Colt Yinger, OH

*#1 – Sr. AC Headlee, PA – Has Scratched
*#8 – Nick Lee, IN – Has Scratched

The Situation: Despite there being nine nationally ranked wrestlers here, the weight is rather wide open, with no prohibitive favorite. The highest ranked guy here is Prince, who DNP'd here a year ago, and there doesn't appear to be any differentiation between a large pack of quality contenders.
Additionally, this entire group, with possibly the exception of James, who has a more wide open style, wrestles one-point matches religiously. These guys are always tight.
Phillippi is the returning runner-up (to Pletcher), but took losses at the S32 qualifier. That being said, he turns it on when the lights are brightest.
James' only loss at FloNats was to Phillippi, who he eventually outplaced.
At the end of the day, picking here is a total crapshoot.
It should be noted that this weight features a ton of young stars (especially for a middleweight) with Hong, Shie, Lane and a host of freshmen you'll be hearing about rather soon.

I Got a Feelin': On one hand, this weight could go so many different directions that it's tough to identify who will bust out. On the other hand, it's the perfect environment for one to do so. Give me Kellen Devlin. By the end of the tournament, he'll be a household name.

The Picks:
Willie:    1. James (IN)   2. Prince (FL)   3. Phillippi (PA)   4. Hong (PA)
Ryan:   1. Prince (FL)   2. James (IN)   3. Lee (WI)   4. Phillippi (PA)
Vinny:  1. Prince (FL)   2. Phillippi (PA)   3. Shie (OH)   4. James (IN)
Nick:  1. Prince (FL)   2. Phillippi (PA)  3. James (IN)   4. R. Lee (WI)

138: Entries (169)

2013 Final: Jason Nolf, PA, md. Brock Zacherl, PA, 17-7.
2010 Final: (135) Steve Spearman, PA, dec. Dan Neff, PA, 5-3.
The Contenders:
#3 – So. Cam Coy, PA - State Champ
#4 – Sr. Sam Krivus, PA – 2x Returning Champ
#5 – Sr. Jaydin Clayton, MO – State Champ
#7 – Sr. Nate Limmex, MI – FloNationals

#8 – So. Jarod Verkleeren, PA - Fargo Champ
#9 – Jr. Ethan Karsten, MO – Fargo Champ
#10 – So. Dom Demas, OH – State placer

So. Hunter Bolen, VA – State placer
So. Nick Kiussis, OH – State runner-up
Fr. Josiah Rider, CO
Fr. Josh Stillings, PA
Fr. Frankie Gissendanner, NY – State placer

The Situation: This bracket is almost the polar opposite of 132. Sam Krivus is going for a record 3rd straight Super 32 title and he's a big favorite to get to the finals. That being said, a grudge match with Cameron Coy, who Krivus beat three times last year, but whom won the state bracket.
Also, whereas the book on almost all the guys at 132 is really conservative matches, the wrestlers here, namely Verkleeren, Demas, and Clayton, are wide open point-scorers.
Limmex shocked everyone two years ago when he came out of nowhere to beat a Top 5 Zeke Moisey to win FloNationals. But he hasn't appeared much on the national scene since, so he's a bit of a mystery.

I Got a Feelin': I don't see any of the non-ranked guys (with the exception of Bierdumpfel) as a major threat to the top contenders, but there are a number of kids I want to get a look at. Pay attention to Elvin, Mariakis, and four Ohio boys. In particular, Kiussis, just a soph, who was a state runner-up to Screptock in Ohio big school.

The Picks:
Willie:  1. Krivus (PA)  2. Limmex (MI)   3. Coy (PA)  4. Verkleeren (PA)
Ryan:   1. Krivus (PA)  2. Karsten (MO)  3. Limmex (MI)   4. Demas (OH)
Vinny:  1. Krivus (PA)  2. Limmex (MI)   3. Bahr (WI)  4. Karsten (MO)
Nick:  1. Krivus (PA)  2. Moore (OH)  3. Limmex (MI)   4. Coy (PA)

145: Entries (133)

2013 Final: Logan Massa, MI, dec. Grant Leeth, MO, 4-3.
2010 Final: (140) Roger Wildmo Jr., MI, dec. Jason Tsirtsis, IN, 6-5.
The Contenders:
#3 – Sr. Michael Kemerer, PA - 3x S32 Finalist
#7 – So. Kyle Lawson, OH - Returning 6th
#8 – Sr. Max Thomsen, IA – Returning 5th
#11 – Sr. Tommy Dutton, NY – Returning 7th

Jr. Foster Karmon, MI – State Champ
Jr. Kevin Budock, MD – State Champ
Jr. Griffin Parriott, MN – State Champ
Jr. Jeremy Thomas, CA
So. Lane Stigall, OR – State runner-up
Fr. Quentin Milliken, PA

The Situation: For the second straight weight there is a wrestler trying to make S32 history. Michael Kemerer will attempt to become just the third wrestler to make four Super 32 finals. Ironically, one of the other two is Joey Dance, who Kemerer beat in 2011.
Lawson went on a tear at S32 as a freshman last year reaching the semi's where he lost to eventual champ Jason Nolf and sliding to 5/6 match where he was pinned by Thomsen, the Iowa 3-timer.
If seeds hold to ranks, we should get a good quarter with Dutton and Lane and a Lawson-Thomsen rematch in the semi's.

I Got a Feelin': Watch for Jeremy Thomas to cause a bit of havoc.

The Picks:
Willie:  1. Kemerer (PA)  2. Lawson (OH)   3. Dutton (NY)   4. Lane (PA)
Ryan:  1. Kemerer (PA)   2. Thomsen (IA)  3. Lane (PA)   4. Dutton (NY)
Vinny:  1. Kemerer (PA)  2. Dutton (NY)    3. Thomsen (IA)  4. Lane (PA)
Nick:   1. Kemerer (PA)  2. Thomsen (IA)   3. Dutton (NY)    4. Lane (PA)

So. Nino Bonaccorsi, PA
So. Mike Labriola, PA – State placer
So. AJ Pedro, MA - Prep placer

The Situation: Very interesting weight where I see several legitimate contenders. On paper, it's one of the most intriguiing brackets.
Zach Kelly was seconds away from a S32 title last year before being taken down by Jake Danishek. He's back to try and get the belt this year.
In his way is Maruca, a guy that has always been talented, but hadn't hit the next level. He did this summer, placing 3rd in Fargo and beating some of the country's top talents including Fredy Stroker, Pat Duggan, and Max Thomsen.
The next two are Bullard and Amine. Both failed to place last year but are top talents.
Pay attention to the Indiana boys. Hughes had a big win over Thomsen this summer.
And, if you've watched Who's #1 lately, you know I've been raving about Justin Thomas. I'm staying on that train.

I Got a Feelin': I don't know if he's 'there yet,' but Nino Bonnacorsi will be eventually. Just a sophomore, I really like his skill set. Get some eyeballs on him.

The Picks:
Willie:  1. Thomas (CA)   2. Maruca (PA)   3. Kelly (PA)   4. Amine (MI)
Ryan:   1. Amine (MI)   2. Richards (VA)  3. Maruca (PA)  4. Thomas (CA)
Vinny:  1. Amine (MI)   2. Young (PA)   3. Maruca (PA)  4. Richards (VA)

160: Entries (90)

2013 Final: Garrett Peppelman, PA, dec. Jonathan Schleifer, NJ, 5-2.
2010 Final: (152) Codey Combs, DE, dec. Jonathan Rivera, GA, 3-1.
The Contenders:
#3 – Sr. Fox Baldwin, FL – Returning 5th
#4 – Jr. Alex Marinelli, OH – 2x Ironman finalist
#6 – Sr. Josh Ugalde, NJ – FloNats Runner-up
#9 – Sr. Brett Bye, SD - Fargo AA
#10 – Jr. Daniel Bullard, GA – State Champ
#11 – Sr. Carver James, IL – State Champ
#14 – Sr. Ben Schram, OH – Returning 5th
#17 – Sr. Corbin Allen, VA – State Champ
#17 at 152 – Sr. DJ Hollingshead, PA – FloNats AA
#19 – Jr. Trace Carello, IL – FILA Runner-Up
Sr. Paden Bailey, OK – State runner-up
Sr. Dakota Greene, FL – State Champ
Sr. Joey Gunther, IL – State place
Sr. Benjamin Harvey, IN
Sr. Cody Hughes, ME – State Champ
Sr. Dayton Racer, IA – Returning 8th
Sr. Cole Walter, PA – State placer
Sr. Matt Mirth, PA
Jr. Owen Webster, MN – State Champ
So. Louie Deprez, NY – State placer
Jake Deutschlander, MN – State placer

The Situation: One of the premier finals could occur at this weight with a potential Baldwin-Marinelli showdown. Baldwin has basically won everything under the sun. Marinelli is one of the best in the JR class, finishing runner-up to Blair boys Dylan Milonas and Russ Parson the last two years.
Before we get there though, Flonationals finalist Ugalde, and double Fargo AA Bye loom.
Also pay attention to Bullard, and Schram, who had a wins over DiBlasi and Allen this summer.

I Got a Feelin': I'll go way off the reservation here and take Matt Mirth to cause some shockwaves. Good regular season, bad postseason, failing to make the state tournament. I might be way off here, but he's talented, and a good sleeper pick.

The Picks:
Willie:   1. Baldwin (FL)   2. Marinelli (OH)   3. Ugalde (NJ)   4. Bye (SD)
Ryan:   1. Baldwin (FL)   2. Ugalde (NJ)   3. Marinelli (OH)   4. Schram (OH)
Vinny:   1. Baldwin (FL)   2. Ugalde (NJ)   3. Marinelli (OH)   4. James (IL)
Nick:    1. Marinelli (OH)   2. Baldwin (FL)    3. Ugalde (NJ)   4. Bullard (GA)

170: Entries (84)

2013 Final: Chance Marsteller, PA, dec. Taylor Lujan, GA, 9-3.
2010 Final: (160) Cody Wiercioch, PA, dec. Nikko Reyes, CA, 7-3.
The Contenders:
#5 – Sr. Taylor Lujan, GA – Returning runner-up
#9 – Sr. Zach Hertling, NJ - State Runner-up
#10 – Sr. Colston Diblasi, MO – State Champ
#11 – Sr. Johnny Garcia, CT – NHSCA Runner-up
#17 – So. Caleb Little, GA – NHSCA Champ, State Champ
#19 – Jr. Brett Donner, NJ – FloNats AA
#20 – Jr. Jared Siegrist, PA - Fargo AA
Sr. Trevor Allard, NY – State Champ
Sr. Idris White, PA – State placer
Sr. Fritz Hoehn, MA – State Champ
Jr. Devon Pingel, MI – State runner-up
Jr. Jake Shaffer, PA – State placer
So. James Handwerk, OH
Sean Kennedy, TN – State Champ

#2 – Sr. Anthony Valencia, CA – Has Scratched

The Situation: After settling for runner-up honors at S32 and FloNationals, Lujan is poised to bring home the belt. And he's a huge favorite. His top competition is Hertling, who is making a big jump in weight.
DiBlasi is a fine talent, but a little too inconsistent to get my pick in a tournament in which he'll have to win several close matches in a row.
Beyond these three, I'm intrigued by several guys who have limited but promising resumes. Garcia was the JR runner-up to Schram at Virginia Beach, where Soph sensation Little won a title. And Fritz Hoehn just won Journeymen.

I Got a Feelin': I have a hunch we'll see big gains from NJ's Brett Donner, who was 3rd at states last year.

The Picks:
Willie:  1. Lujan (GA)   2. Donner (NJ)   3. Hertling (NJ)   4. Little (GA)
Ryan:   1. Lujan (GA)    2. Hertling (NJ)    3. DiBlasi (MO)    4. Little (GA)
Vinny:   1. Lujan (GA)   2. DiBlasi (MO)   3. Hertling (NJ)   4. Garcia (CT)
Nick:   1. Lujan (GA)   2. Garcia (CT)   3. Hertling (NJ)   4. DiBlasi (MO)

182: Entries (75)

2013 Final: Zach Zavatsky, PA, dec. Nicky Hall, NY, 5-2.
2010 Final: (171) Brandon Griffin, OR, dec. Wally Figaro, FL, 2-1 TB.
The Contenders:
#1 – Sr. Zahid Valencia, CA – State Champ
#3 – Sr. Dylan Wisman, VA – State Champ
#9 – Jr. Blake Rypel, IN – State runner-up
#13 – Jr. Nathan Traxler, IL – Fargo AA
#18 – Sr. Corey Hazel, PA – State placer
#19 – Sr. Dantae McGee, FL – State Champ
Sr. Kollin Moore, OH – State runner-up
Sr. Chance Cooper, MO - State Champ
Sr. Triston Engle, NY – State placer
Sr. Willie Bivens, NC - FloNats AA
Jr. Ben Darmstadt, OH – Fargo AA
Jr. Evan Hansen, IA- State placer
Jr. Dakota Geer, PA – State placer
Jr. Jack Harris, OH – State runner-up
Fr. Blake Barrick, PA

The Situation: Zahid moved up to 182 and showed no signs of slowing down. But while the ultra athletic Myles Martin provides one set of challenges, the bull that is FloNationals Champ Dylan Wisman presents another. There are a ton of fans anticipating this match.
But there are a host of 'next tier' kids here, too. In addition to the ranked guys, Moore, Cooper, and Harris have all been in and out of the rankings.
Darmstadt was undefeated at Cadet Duals and his only loss in Fargo was to Brandon Dallavia.

I Got a Feelin': Geer is an under the radar guy that could break out here. He has wins over Dylan Reynolds, Max Dean, and most recently, Kellan Stout. He could make a splash.

The Picks:
Willie:   1. Zahid (CA)   2. Wisman (VA)   3. Rypel (IN)  4. McGee (FL)
Ryan:   1. Wisman (VA)    2. Zahid (CA)   3. Traxler (IL)  4. Rypel (IN)
Vinny:   1. Wisman (VA)    2. Zahid (CA)   3. Hazel (PA)  4. Rypel (IN)
Nick:   1. Zahid (CA)   2. Wisman (VA)   3. Rypel (IN)  4. Traxler (IL)

195: Entries (53)

2013 Final: Chip Ness, GA, dec. Derek White, OK, 4-2.
2010 Final: (189) Kenny Courts, PA, md. Cody Johnston, MO, 14-1.
The Contenders:
#5 – Sr. Hunter Ritter, MD – FILA Runner-up
#6 – Sr. Steven Allen, OK – State placer
#20 – Sr. Dylan Reynolds, PA – State placer
Sr. Jacob Cooper, MI – FloNats AA
Sr. Elliott Lee, GA – State Champ
Sr. Jeff Velez, NJ - NHSCA JR Champ
Sr. Jacob Worthing, OH - State placer
Sr. Drew Kasper, OH - FloNats AA
Jr. Kevin Mulligan, NY – Fargo AA
Jr. Drew Phipps, PA – Returning 4th
So. Jeffrey Allen, VA – State Champ
8th grade – Cohlton Schultz, CO

The Situation: Hunter Ritter enters as a slight favorite. Steve Allen comes down from 220 and should be one of the top contenders.
Drew Phipps placed just 4th in the PA state tournament, but both losses came to guys ranked Top 10 nationally, and both were one takedown differentials. The second is Jacob Cooper who was a state champ and 5th at FloNats.
Velez has been a little inconsistent, but as eveidenced by his NHSCA title with wins over two nationally ranked guys, he could make a run.

I Got a Feelin': I don't know how deep he'll go - 195 at one of the nation's premier tournaments as an 8th grader isn't the easiest assignment, but Schultz is going to beat some guys. He's a special talent and a tireless worker. Whether it's sooner or later, everyone in the country will eventually know him.

The Picks:
Willie:   1. Ritter (MD)   2. Phipps (PA)   3. Schultz (CO)    4. Cooper (MI)
Ryan:   1. Ritter (MD)   2. S. Allen (OK)   3. Reynolds (PA)   4. Mulligan (NJ)
Vinny:   1. Ritter (MD)   2. Reynolds (PA)    3. S. Allen (OK)   4. J. Allen (VA)
Nick:   1. Ritter (MD)   2. Allen (OK)   3. Reynolds (PA)   4. Cooper (MI)

220: Entries (39)

2013 Final: Jordan Wood, PA, md. Ian Butterbrodt, MA, 11-0.
2010 Final: (215) Matt Idelson, PA, dec. Scott Syrek, PA, 3-1.
The Contenders:
#3 – Sr. Austin Myers, KY - 3x NHSCA Finalist
#10 – Sr. Patrick Grayson, VA – Fargo AA
#11 – Sr. Christian Colucci, NJ
#12 – Sr. Buzzy Maines, PA – State runner-up
#12 at 285 – Sr. Youssif Hemida, NY – FloNats runner-up
#14 – Jr. Ethan Andersen, IA – State Champ
#16 – Sr. Michael Smith, MD - 2013 Fargo Runner-Up
#20 – Sr. John Kramer, TN – State Champ
Sr. Vincent Feola, NY – Returning 4th
Jr. Luke Ready, MI – Fargo AA
Jr. Bryce Town, PA

*#1– Jr. Jordan Wood, PA - Has Scratched

The Situation: We could have had a premier showdown between to determine the #1 spot in America, but returning champ Jordan Wood, who won Cadet World Silver this summer, is laid up with a torn labrum.
But fret not. This is a loaded weight class, with as many nationally ranked individuals as there are medals to give out.
Austin Myers leads the way and is among the elite upperweights in the country. He was 3rd at Fargo with a tech over Grayson, who was 8th. Grayson beat Colucci there, but Colucci also beat the #1 guy in the country, Roy Nash, during that tournament.
Hemida has been on a tear, reaching FloNats finals and AA'ing (5th) at Fargo for the second straight year.
Ethan Anderson was the Cadet World Team Member in GR.

I Got a Feelin': No real sneaky picks here. Maines was a suprise finalist in PA small schools, and then backed it up with an AA finish at FLO. Let's see if he continues to see his stock rise.

The Picks:
Willie:   1. Myers (KY)   2. Grayson (VA)   3. Hemida (NY)   4. Maines (PA)
Ryan:   1. Myers (KY)   2. Maines (PA)   3. Grayson (VA)   4. Andersen (IA)
Vinny:   1. Myers (KY)   2. Grayson (VA)  3. Andersen (IA)   4. Maines (PA)
Nick:   1. Myers (KY)   2. Grayson (VA)   3. Maines (PA)   4. Kramer (TN)

285: Entries (31)

2013 Final: Patrik Garren, OH, dec. Jesse Webb, VT, 2-1 UTB.
2010 Final: Jacob Aiken-Phillips, GA, dq. Collin Campbell, NC.
The Contenders:
#11 – Jr. Michael Rogers, PA – Fargo AA
#13 – Sr. Andrew Dunn, PA – Returning 4th
#14 – Sr. Ian Butterbrodt, MA – Returning runner-up
Sr. Allan Beattie, PA – State placer
Sr. Dane Drimmer, CO – State runner-up
Sr. Adam Olson, NC - NHSCA AA
Sr. Zach Mauldin, NC - NHSCA AA
Sr. Bucky Dennis, FL - NHSCA AA

The Situation: Butterbrodt was the runner-up at 220 last year to Jordan Wood. Five months later, Rogers, who's been wrestling really well lately, beat him at NHSCA's.
Dunn was 4th at HWT last year and 3rd in the state at 220.
Drimmer was a bout from placing last year and has beaten nationally ranked opponents.
Olson-Mauldin-Dennis were 5-7-8 at NHSCA JRs.
I think most pundits would call it a three-horse race. Rogers is hot right now, and in a great training environment, but I'll go with Dunny boy.

I Got a Feelin': I really like Allan Beattie and view him as a sure-fire bracket buster.

The Picks:
Willie:     1. Dunn (PA)    2. Rogers (PA)     3. Beattie (PA)    4. Butterbrodt (MA)
Ryan:    1. Dunn (PA)   2. Butterbrodt (MA)    3. Rogers (PA)   4. Beattie (PA)
Vinny:  1. Butterbrodt (MA)   2. Rogers (PA)   3. Dunn (PA)   4. Drimmer (CO)
Nick:   1. Dunn (PA)   2. Butterbrodt (MA)   3. Rogers (PA)   4. Drimmer (CO)

*Note: From 2000-2004 only Top 4 were awarded at Super 32. From 2005-2006, Top 6 were awarded. From to present, Top 8 place. For instance, Kyle Dake would have been in the 7th place match as a Sophomore in 2006.

Get ready for the season! Get ready for another historic year at the Super 32, where the action is awesome from the opening whistle and there's chaos everywhere. The quarterfinals on Saturday morning are one of the great rounds of wrestling. Undoubtedly, one of my favorite events of the year.
