FLIPSWRESTLING TO RUN "I AM A WRESTLER" CONTEST AGAIN

 

Wrestling's Most Valuable Contest Back for Another Year!

October 24, 2014.  Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.  Last season, the boys from Becker High School Wrestling in Minnesota got a 2-day visit from World and Olympic champion Jordan "All I See Is Gold" Burroughs.  During his 2-day visit, JB educated the wrestlers on technique and mental preparation, gave a speech at a home dual meet, and even yelled some encouraging words from his seat.  Becker was last year's winner of the inaugural FlipsWrestling "I Am A Wrester Contest," besting hundreds of other entries from schools and wrestling clubs from around the country.  

Today, FlipsWrestling announced that wrestling's most valuable contest is returning again this season!  The prize pack:  a two-day visit from “All I See Is Gold,” during which Jordan will run a free clinic for the winner's team on technique and mental preparation, attend and speak at a match, and sign autographs and take pictures with wrestlers and fans.  FlipsWrestling will also throw in bag packed with signature FlipsWrestling swag for the winner.  The requirements are simple - purchase a set of the new "All I See Is Gold" Limited Edition XB headphones at Flipswrestling.com, and write a 100 word essay on what the phrase "I Am A Wrestler" means to you.  That's it.  JB will choose the winner himself and announce it on Christmas Day.

Burroughs commented:  "I had a lot of fun reading the entries last year and hanging out with the winning kids and the FlipsWrestling crew.  It's a great contest and will be a lot of fun this year.  I've always said that the mental part of wrestling is just as, if not more, important than the physical part, and this contest requires people to think about that mental aspect of the game, which is something I really like about it.  I'm looking forward to reading the entries this year and choosing a winner on Christmas Day!"
