What Does It Really Mean If Port Beats Stieber at All Star Classic 2014?
#1 Logan Stieber (Ohio State) vs #2 Mitchell Port (Edinboro).  One of NCAA wrestling's most anticipated match ups goes down this upcoming Saturday, November 1st at the 2014 NWCA All Star Classic.

Although labeled as just an "exhibition" bout, the Stieber vs Port match is one of great import as it carries with it a variety of implications.  A Stieber win Saturday sets for the 2014 wrestling season the following storyline: Can Anyone Touch Logan Stieber This Year?  A Port victory changes the storyline to: Can Logan Stieber Do It Again in March?

If Stieber wins the big all star match up, then all is good in Buckeye land. Logie Bear will retain his #1 ranking and continue forthright in his quest for title #4.  A Mitchell Port win, however, could really shake up the wrestling world.  2 main thoughts in my mind post the latter hypothetical:

-Are the Buckeyes still a team favorite in March if Stieber's not a lock to win it all at 141?
-Does Stieber still deserve to be #1 in the p4p if he loses an exhibition match?

There's definitely a lot to think about if -a big if- Port comes out on top this Saturday. Personally, I'm having a hard time picking a winner here.  Our college wrestling analyst, Christian Pyles, weighs in with his thoughts on the big match up:
