With three straight Top 7 recruiting classes, Illinois has been on a hot streak. And it looks like it will continue.

The Illini already wrangled FloNationals Champ #22-Xavier Montalvo (174) and Folk Nationals Champ #64-Carver James (157/165).

Late Sunday night, they received a third piece in what looks to be another stellar haul.

The #31 overall recruit, Kris Williams of Thornton, IL is the newest member of the Illini.

Perhaps one of the most underrated prospects in the country, Williams has won three state titles during a span when Illinois' lightweight brackets have been incredibly deep. 

His first state title (106) ended with a win over Matt Rundell. His next (113) came with wins over Brian Rossi and Mark Duda. And his (120) bracket last season had five other wrestlers that were nationally ranked.

Kris is currently ranked 3rd in the nation at 120lbs and projects as a 125lber for the Illini.
