Another stud off the big board. Another stud headed to ASU.

Zeke Jones and company are keeping it rolling receiving a verbal commitment from Josh Shields of Franklin Regional High School in Pennsylvania. A 3 time state placer finishing 6th, 3rd and 2nd in the Nation’s toughest high school state, Shields has proven to be a consistent performer against the country’s best. Josh placed 3rd at Fargo and 3rd at Flonationals in 2014.

Shields who is #24 on the Flo Big Board is the 3rd ranked 152 in the country. Shields joins Franklin Regional teammate Josh Maruca who verbally committed to ASU earlier in the Summer.

To date, ASU has an unbelievable haul already having received verbal commitments from Anthony Valencia (#1) , Zahid Valencia (#4), Lance Benick (#8), Josh Maruca (#52) and now Josh Shields (#24).

Shields projects as a 157/165 at the next level. He’s got wins over some of the premier high school wrestlers in the country including Grant Leeth, Jo Jo Smith and Dylan Milonas.
