No.2-ranked Shayne Van Ness defeated No.3-ranked Kyle Parco of Arizona State as the Penn State Wrestling star used a feet-to-back takedown to notch a 5-1 win in three rounds at the 2023 NWCA All-Star Classic on Nov. 21.  

With the Penn State crowd behind him at the famed Rec Hall, Van Ness made his case as a title contender at 149-pounds as he took down the Sun Devil star.

The No.1-ranked wrestler at 149-pounds is Ridge Lovett of Nebraska, who will face Penn State at a dual meet on Feb. 18 in Rec Hall.
