Anthony Noto, who became the No.1-ranked wrestler at 125-pounds when Matt Ramos lost earlier this month, fell to the Purdue star

No.1-ranked Anthony Noto of Lock Haven Wrestling lost to No.4 and preseason No.1-ranked Matt Ramos of Purdue at the 2023 NWCA All-Star Classic. 

Ramos outlasted Noto in three rounds and scored 3-2 victory at Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State. 

Ramos was ranked No.1 entering the season after he upset Spencer Lee in the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships in March. But he lost to high school wrestler Marcus Blaze at the Clarion Open earlier this month. 

He appears to have regained formed with the win as he clung to a win against Noto.
