The 2023 NWCA All-Star Classic got off to a fast start, literally. 

Alexis Janiak of Aurora defeated Sarah Savidge 10-0 in 30 seconds in the second match of the NWCA All-Star Classic. 

No.2-ranked 130-pound wrestler Janiak improved to 4-2 over No.1-ranked Savidge of Life (NAIA). 

The match followed a win by No.2-ranked 116-pound wrestler Samara Chavez of King over No.3-ranked Sydney Petzinger of North Central. Chavez scored a second round pin. 

But it’ll be hard for any wrestler to top Janiak’s 30-second win at Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State.

The event is on the campus of Penn State, the current No. 1-ranked men’s team in college wrestling, according to the FloWrestling rankings. The event will be at the Rec Hall.
