#3 Karoly And #9 Phillips Commit To North Carolina
North Carolina picks up commitments from #3 Ryan Karoly and #9 Mason Phillips.
The University of North Carolina picked up two top 10 recruits over the past two days. The Tar Heels received verbals from Ryan Karoly, who is ranked No. 3 at 182 pounds, and Mason Phillips, ranked No. 9 at 145 pounds.
Karoly is a two-time National Prep champion currently in his senior year at Malvern Prep (PA). A three-time Fargo champ, Karoly is ranked 28th on the class of 2018 Big Board and projects as a 174/184 for UNC.
Phillips made the cadet Greco world team this year, winning Fargo in that style each of the past two years. Phillips enters his senior year at Stanwood High School as a two-time Washington state champion. He is No. 79 on the Big Board and projects as a 149 for the Tar Heels.
