Four-time Fargo champ Anthony Artalona will be furthering his academic and athletic career at the University of Pennsylvania.
The No. 1 ranked 145 pound high school wrestler in the nation announced live on FloWrestling that he will be joining the Penn Quakers wrestling program next year. He projects as a 149 for the Quakers.
The three-time Florida state champ made his choice after narrowing his top four schools to NC State, Purdue, Columbia, and the Quakers.
Artalona will graduate from Tampa Prep before becoming a key part of newly re-christened Penn Head Coach Roger Reina's recruiting class of 2018. No. 31 on the Class of 2018 Big Board, Artalona will be joined on Penn's campus next fall by fellow blue hip recruits Grant Aranoff, a potential 141 pounder, also from Florida, who is No. 40 on the Big Board, and Jake Hendricks, a potential 174 pounder who is No. 99 on the Big Board from Wyoming Seminary.
Artalona will be competing at Who's Number 1 on October 8 in Lehigh's historic Snakepit against No. 3 Sammy Sasso.
