Frank Beasley Named Head Coach At George Mason University
Former North Carolina State associate head coach Frank Beasley has been named the new head coach at George Mason.

Beasley spent the past five years coaching alongside Pat Popolizio at NC State, which is coming off its fourth straight top 20 finish at the NCAA tournament. Beasley takes over at GMU for Joe Russell, who recently left the Patriots for a position with USA Wrestling.

Beasley inherits a team that went 7-12 in its 2017 campaign and finished fifth in the EWL conference. Rebuilding, however, is something that Beasley knows a bit about. He and Popolizio were responsible for resuscitating the program at Binghamton University from 2007-2012 before Popolizio was hired as NC State's head coach.
