Top Talent Added To Wyoming Seminary Lineup
Wyoming Seminary added some serious fire power to its line-up for this upcoming season.
Excited. No, that's not the right word. Agog is more like it. I am extremely agog to see how one particular high school lineup looks this year, and that would be the Wyoming Seminary Blue Knights.
Everyone already knows about Beau Bartlett and the firepower he brings. As a freshman, he was the top seed at Ironman and went on to win the tournament. He was also a National Prep champ, along with Wyoming Seminary teammate Drew Munch, who won it at 106. National Prep runner-up Jack Davis returns to the Blue Knights as well.
As you can see, Wyoming Seminary already had some serious talent coming back to Kingston, PA. With the guys the Blue Knights have returning, the additions to this year's team could put them over them over the top.
The biggest newcomer is freshman double Fargo champion No. 5 Carson Manville, who will wrestle 132. The hype is real with Manville. Not only did he win Fargo in both styles this summer, but he also brought home a pair of Pan Am titles. Manville has tussled with the best and claimed wins over Nick Raimo and Pat Glory. He is starting out his freshman campaign ranked fifth at 132.
Watch Manville claim his Fargo freestyle title.
Then there's No. 4 Zeke Escalera. From watching him win a title in Fargo you notice one thing: This 106-pounder is a terror. He has constant pressure and he stays busy. In the finals, he took out Matt Ramos of Illinios with an impressive Metzger for four to end the match.
Watch Escalera shutout Ramos in the Fargo finals.
Lastly is Cole Rees, who had a flawless outing at Junior Freestyle duals. Rees really brings some grit along with him to the 152-pound spot. These great additions to the Blue Knights lineup are going to make them very tough to beat.
