Here come some more fireworks, people. You better be ready for all the action in each weight class at the Cadet and Junior National Championships in Fargo, ND, on July 15-22 -- especially at 145 pounds, where things could get out of hand pretty quickly.

There are a lot of guys who will be looking to add to their already impressive collections of hardware at the Fargodome, but like always, the new faces will put themselves on the radar as well.

Contenders
Ben Freeman, MI
Kaden Gfeller, OK
Imran Heard, MD
Jason Kraisser, MD
Alex Rivera, MO
Denton Spencer, GA
Jaden Enriquez, CA
Jaden Abas, CA
Jett Merlo, MO
Michael Millage, IA

Commentary: Even though real G's move in silence, I highly doubt that will hold true here as G (Kaden Gfeller) is looking to make some noise after an injury derailed his chances of winning the title last year. Gfeller gave NCAA qualifier Luke Pletcher all he could handle in a pretty intense match at the Junior National Freestyle Championships in Las Vegas. In fact, Gfeller was winning the bout at one point. If you haven't seen the match, I suggest you check it out. Anyway, along with G, there are some serious contenders here.

Jaden Abas is an interesting entry who wrestled 126 this season. Apparently, he's put on some size. I'm looking forward to seeing his adjustment to the weight. Ben Freeman is looking to take home some hardware after leaving empty handed last year. I really like Denton Spencer. The Georgia boy is pretty tough and can really bring it.

The trio of Imran Heard, Jaden Enriquez, and Jason Kraisser here really interests me because each one of them competes so damn hard. Heard has some slickness and power to his offense. He can scrap but is still waiting to get over that hump where his technique matches his athleticism. Enriquez finished his season as a California state champ and sticks in my mind as a dark horse. Lastly, Kraisser will be looking for some redemption after he was unable to make the podium a season ago.

Holmes' picks:
1. Gfeller
2. Freeman
3. Spencer
4. Abas

Contenders
Sammy Sasso, PA
Brayton Lee, IN
Brock Hardy, UT
Anthony Artalona, FL
Brik Filippo, OK
Ethan Krause, MD
Ethan Woods, FL
Brock Mauller, MO
Mason Phillips, WA
Rodrick Mosley, OK
Alex Lloyd, MN
Tyler Shilson, MN
Nate Larson, MN
Tony Mendoza, CA
Jake Hart, SC
Kendall Coleman, IL
Andrew Garr, Ohio
Isaiah Mora, CA
Tristan Zamilpa, CA

Commentary: There is an incredible amount of depth here. This weight is a grinder. Coming out on top of this one will prove that you're a real boss. Anthony Artalona, Sammy Sasso, Alex Lloyd, and Brock Hardy each have been to the top of the Fargo podium in the last few years and will be looking to do it once again. Hardy defeated Sasso last year in the finals to get revenge from two years ago when Sasso defeated him.

Recently, Brock Mauller took it to Hardy. So I guess you can add Mauller to Hardy's list of guys he'd like to get revenge on this year. But Mauller has looked incredible lately. He gave Lee a good test at the Junior World Team trials (Lee won 11-9) but claimed wins over Cole Martin, Collin Purinton, and Jarrett Jacques before being eliminated. If you can't tell, I'm pretty impressed with how Mauller has performed lately.

I also expect Rodrick Mosley, Ethan Krause, Brik Filippo, and Tyler Shilson to be in the mix of things here as well. This is going to be a meat grinder of a bracket.

Holmes' picks:
1. Sasso
2. Lee
3. Mauller
4. Artalona

Contenders
Will Lewan, IL
Cameron Amine, MI
Will Kaldes, PA
Garrett Lefebvre, OR
Justin Ruffin, GA

Commentary: The double cadet world team member has emerged. Will Lewan, who will represent team USA on both the freestyle and Greco world teams this year is my guy to beat here. Lewan is just a well-rounded wrestler with a skill set to dictate just about any match. On the flip side, Cameron Amine is a lot to handle. Amine was an AA in both styles last year, and I think he can impress upon his seventh-place freestyle finish at this year's tournament.

Justin Ruffin is the real deal. He had an undefeated performance at Junior Duals this year and can really scrap. Keep your eye on Will Kaldes as well.

Holmes' picks:
1. Lewan
2. Amine
3. Ruffin
4. Kaldes

Contenders
David Carr, OH
Joe Lee, IN
Ethan Locke, MO
Andrew Merola, NJ
Jaryn Curry, OK
Arturo Rivas, CA
Jake Allar, MN

Commentary: Will we see a grudge match between Joe Lee and David Carr. A year ago, Carr got the best of Lee to make the cadet world team, and Lee got his revenge this year at the Junior National Championships. Currently, they are both ranked No. 1 (Lee at 152 and Carr at 160).

Meanwhile, Andrew Merola is ready to pounce on the opportunity to take one (or both) of these guys out. Merola has been on a mission. He's claimed a win over last year's No. 1 Cam Coy this offseason and has been champing at the bit to get a golden ticket to Who's #1 to take the top spot in the country.

Holmes' picks:
1. Carr
2. Merola
3. Lee
4. Allar
