David Taylor is finally adjusting to the weight, and it is scary. The Magic Man came into the tournament as the favored top-seed and mowed down every single person that stood in front of him.

He teched his way though the tournament and only gave up four points the entire weekend, which were all scored by Nick Heflin in the semifinals. Coming into the Open, Taylor was riding high with dominant performance at the World Cup, where he pinned Olympic Champ Hassan Yazdani Chariti. Taylor's dominant ways launched him to the top of the 86kg weight class at the 2017 US Open.

Watch Taylor tech his way to the top.

Finals: Taylor vs Richard Perry

DT deployed his offense and didn't stop attacking until he was the champ. In the past, Perry gave Taylor a tough match when he sent him flying with a head pinch in Paris, but this time Taylor was ready for it.

Semifinals: Taylor vs Nick Heflin

Heflin was the only guy in the tournament to score on Taylor, but it wouldn't much matter as DT went on to score the 15-4 tech fall to advance to the finals.

Quarterfinals: Taylor vs Pat Downey

A lot of people wanted to see Downey take on Taylor and as expected Taylor was too much for Downey, who put on an impressive performance of his own at the Open.

Round of 16: Taylor vs Chance McClure

Taylor's heavy hands were on full display as he controlled the ties and absolutely blasted through McClure with a strong double before lacing him up.

Round of 32: Taylor vs Anthony Cress

So many attacks in a short amount of time then the fall came.
