I had a chance to listen to coach Steve Garland at the FCA dinner in St. Louis and was blown away by his story. After getting in contact with him, I was blown away by what he represents and his passion for the sport. In addition to his assistant coaching duties, Paulson will also run the Cavalier RTC, which currently has senior level athletes Frank Perrelli and Shelton Mack. Paulson replaces Mark Ellis, who he indicated will be attending seminary school.

I went and checked out UVA for coach Garland, but came away with a deep respect for their high academic standards as one of the top public schools in the country. They have everything it takes to compete at the highest level, including passionate administrative support. He expects to move out to Charlottesville by the end of May, and said he can't wait to work with Garland, a guy who, "No one has anything bad to say about him, and a guy who will bend over backwards to help his athletes."
