Gavin Parks' great performance at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic makes him our FloWrestler of the Week presented by Cliff Keen.
It's the culmination of the high school season, and Gavin Park went out with a bang. The Pennsylvania state champion wowed the crowd as he took out No. 6-ranked Brandon Courtney at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic on Saturday.
Park used some savvy scrambling and a strong double to dominate the takedown battle against the three-time Arizona state champion in a match that was spent mostly on their feet. Austin DeSanto, PA: A few weeks ago DeSanto brought people to their feet in excitement when he defeated Spencer Lee to win his first state title. And DeSanto was at it again Saturday as he dominated four-time California state champion Justin Mejia by major decision at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic.
Austin O'Connor, IL: Pinned top-ranked Jarod Verkleeren to help power Team USA to the win over Team PA.
Cam Coy, PA: Got the clutch takedown late in the match to beat No. 1 Quentin Hovis 3-1.
Stephan Glagow, NJ: Crushed the field and took home the NHSCA Senior National title and OW Award for the senior division.
Jace Koelzer, KS: Upset No. 5 Nic Aguilar to win the 113-pound NHSCA Junior National title and OW Award for the junior division.
