Going through such a traumatic event and battling with a tremendous amount of heart and determination to win his first state title makes Dacota Motter our FloWrestler of the Week presented by Cliff Keen.
After losing his father to cancer just a day before the state tournament, Dacota Motter battled with the thought of not wrestling this weekend in Salina, Kansas. But ultimately, the El Dorado senior decided to go out and dominate his way to a 170-pound state championship.
Motter -- who came into the tournament with a record of 33-1 -- pinned his first opponent, collected a 19-4 tech fall in the semifinals, and finished his state title run with a 7-0 decision over Tyler Price in the finals.
