#1 ranked Thomas Gilman never ceases to steal the show.  Whether he's busting into the opposing huddle to shake hands, or inciting the crowd with a victory, there's no shortage of drama when Gilman is involved.  #4 Ethan Lizak came out firing, scoring a single leg takedown and two turns in the first period to take an 8-0 lead after 1.  (Complete Minnesota vs Iowa Results)

In the 2nd period, Gilman deferred and Lizak took top and continued to ride and lock up riding time.  Gilman scored a late reversal to end the second.

Trailing 8-2 going into the third (really 9-2 with riding time locked), Gilman's pace was too much for Lizak.  Gilman took neutral, took a few attacks and put away Lizak.
