Robert Garcia Beats Jaden Abas, Then Calls Out Justin Mejia
Robert Garcia took care of business in his 5 Counties final and then called out Justin Mejia.
Some of California's top prep wrestlers put on a show at the 2017 edition of 5 Counties, and it's no surprise the event's final match went down to the last second on Saturday at Fountain Valley (CA) High School. When the championship bouts were set, it was decided the tournament would end with sophomore Jaden Abas, who is ranked No. 14 at 126 pounds, taking on Robert Garcia IV, a senior committed to wrestle for Fresno State.
Abas and Garcia, who are cousins, battled for over eight minutes before Garcia won the title in an ultimate tiebreaker. Check out the full match below and complete finals results here.
