Well, in case you didn't know, Mark Hall is the real deal.

For the first time since seventh grade, Hall came into a tournament unseeded at the Southern Scuffle this past weekend. But like most times when he steps on the mat, that didn't matter. Hall's 174-pound title run in Chattanooga, Tennessee, included wins over No. 3 Casey Kent in the quarterfinals, No. 6 Kyle Crutchmer in the finals and No. 14 Ryan Preisch in the semifinals. After trailing late in the semis, Hall used a clutch cement mixer to get the fall against Preisch and move on to the championship match on Monday.

The Penn State true freshman also earned the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler award for his amazing run. And it's that same performance that makes Mark Hall our FloWrestler of the Week.

Other FloWrestler of the Week Nominees:

J'den Cox, Missouri: Just impressive. Up against the best in the country Cox reigned supreme and showed why he is the No. 1-ranked 197-pound wrestler in the country. To cap off his dominating performance, which consisted of two technical falls and two major decisions, the Olympic bronze medalist used a gorgeous double-leg takedown to defeat No. 2 Brett Pfarr.

Gabe Dean, Cornell: There is no one dominating his weight class the way Dean is at 184. The now four-time Southern Scuffle champion ran through everyone en route to his fourth title. After two pins and a major decision, Dean defeated No. 5 Nolan Boyd 7-2 to take the title.



Jordan Kutler, Lehigh: In four matches, the No. 15-ranked redshirt freshman outscored his opponents by a combined score of 22-3 with wins over top 10 wrestlers Joe Smith and Joey Lavallee, who are ranked third and sixth, respectively.

Chandler Rogers, Oklahoma State: He came one match away from bonusing his way through the tournament. As if his path to the 165 finals wasn't impressive enough, Rogers capped things off with a fall in 1:18 over No. 4 Daniel Lewis of Missouri.

Sammy Hillegas, North Hills: From unseeded to champion, the freshman showed up in a big way as he claimed the 113-pound Powerade title and the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler Award.



Jacob Kasper, Duke: Defeated No. 10 Denzel Dejournette, No. 12 Austin Shafer and No. 4 Michael Kroells, respectively, en route to claiming the 285-pound Southern Scuffle title.
