The sixth ranked Missouri Tigers have suffered a critical loss to their potential NCAA team title hopes. Head coach Brian Smith announced today that two-time All-American Willie Miklus will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Smith released the following statement:

"Willie is a great leader for our program and this athletic department and will continue to be through this time of adversity," head coach Brian Smith said. "Our primary concentration is to get him healthy and back on the mat competing as soon as possible. I have full confidence he will return from this injury stronger and better. He will continue to be a crucial asset to our program's success."

Miklus suffered the injury November 20th while wrestling Virginia Tech's Zack Zavatsky in a wild scramble. You can watch the match where Miklus was injured above. Matt Lemanowicz has replaced Miklus for the Tigers since the injury and will likely be the starter for the remainder of the season.
