2016 Olympic Champion Kyle Snyder lost today at the 2016 Club Cup against Georgia's Elizbar Odikadze.

The two had met previously, with Snyder the victor with a late takedown in the World Cup.   They would later meet in the Olympic semi's where Odikadze would jump out to an early 4-0 lead only to be chased down and worn out by the 20 year old American.

Snyder and Odikadze's World Cup Bout Was Eerily Similar:

The outcome was different this time around, though the matches were similar.  Snyder pushed the pace and attacke the entire match, but couldn't manage a takedown and instead had two shot-clock points.  He was leading 2-0 late in the match when Odikadze finally attacked.  A single leg to Kyle's right leg was quickly finished and Odikadze took the 2-2 criteria lead.  Snyder would press even harder late, but couldn't secure a point and lost 2-2.

Fast Forward to around 1:01:40 of the live stream to watch Snyder vs Odikadze:

Titan Mercury Wrestling Club is off to a 2-0 start in the Club duals and is now in the semi-finals.  The squad is full of hammers from top to bottom and will have a great shot at winning the title, despite the Snyder loss.
