Iowa opens their season this weekend with the Iowa City Duals. The Hawkeyes will take on Iowa Central at 9 AM and Cornell College at 10:30.

125 - Thomas Gilman, Iowa vs Vikash Hypio, Cornell
1st Period: Thomas Gilman gets a takedown right away and gives up the escape. Another TD makes it 4-1 Gilman. Gilman gives up another escape, Hypio shoots in and Gilman counters for two. 4 point NF for Gilman off of a tilt and now it's 10-2. Another escape and takedown for Gilman and he's going arm bar on the left side and then has the half and takes him right over for the fall.

1st Period: Clark goes 2 on 1 for a go behind, gets the two and immediately lets Lamb up. Another drag go behind for Clark and it's 4-1. Low single takedown for Clark. Bar and half for Clark this time. He circles the bar around, it's very tight. Another fall for Iowa.

141 - Topher Carton, Iowa vs Josh Martin, Cornell
1st Period: Carton on the attack early but can't get the takedown. Shot by Martin, but Carton defends. Sweep single gives him the takedown and he gives up the escape, 2-1. Same sweep for 2 more and another escape for Martin makes it 4-2. Third single leg for Carton and now it's 6-2. Tilt for Carton makes it 10-2. 1st period ends.

2nd Period: Martin chooses bottom. He escapes and it's 10-3. Left side high crotch for Martin, Carton goes chin whip for the fall!

149 - Brandon Sorensen, Iowa vs Leonard Bloom, Cornell
1st Period: Near arm far leg for Sorensen makes it 2-0 right away. Escape and a nice re-attack by Sorensen makes it 4-1. Sorensen over 1 minute of riding time. Period ends.

2nd Period: Another takedown for Sorensen, escape given and then an ankle pick for two more. More takedowns for Sorensen and he'll ride out the 2nd. 12-5 after two.

3rd Period: Sorensen takes bottom, sits out and escapes. Sorensen gets some more takedowns and it's 17-6. 18-6 with riding time.

157 - Michael Kemerer, Iowa vs Aaron Engle, Cornell
1st Period: Single leg for Kemerer then a claw turn. More nearfall for Kemerer. 10-0 in just 50 seconds. Escape given but Kemerer gets in on a high crotch, goes bottom leg turk for 4 more. Looking for the fall. Can't get it and it's a 16-1 first period tech.

165 - Skyler St. John, Iowa vs Ben Hewson, Cornell
1st Period: Takedown by Hewson! 2-0. Escape by St. John. 2-1 Hewson. Period ends.

2nd Period: Another attack for Hewson and there's a stall warning against St. John. Takedown for St. John after an upper-body attempt. 4-2 St. John as he gets the rideout.

3rd Period: Hewson in on another shot and it's 4-4. Reversal for St. John makes it 6-4. He rides out for the 7-4 win.

174 - Joey Gunther, Iowa vs Michael Maksimovic, Cornell
1st Period: Takedown right away for Maksimovic and it's 2-1 after a Gunther escape. Knee pick for Gunther and he's up 3-2 now 3-3 after the escape.

2nd Period: Maksimovic underneath with Gunther riding tough. Not getting near a turn but Gunther is riding still.  He rides out.

3rd Period: Gunther takes bottom.  Maksimovic lets him up.   Shot by Gunther but they're on the edge.  Finish on the edge makes it 6-3.  Another takedown and it's 8-4 for Gunther.  That's the final.

184 - Alex Meyer, Iowa vs Brian Cristion, Cornell
1st Period:  Single leg for Meyer and Meyer can't finish.  Another shot but Meyer runs out for the finish. 

2nd Period: Meyer takes bottom.  Cristion has an awkward power half as Meyer tries to pick up the foot. Meyer picks up the reversal and goes right into a suicide tilt for 4. Meyer returns Cristion on the edge. More nearfall for Meyer

3rd Period: Cristion takes bottom.  Roll through tilt attempts for Meyer but he can't take him over. Rideout makes it a 7-0 final for Meyer.

1st Period: Takedown right away for Wilke and there's the escape for Wilke. 2 more for Wilke on a single leg.  Nice fireman's and Wilke takes him right over for the pin!

1st Period: Shot right away but Hollaway can't finish.  Nothing goin on here so far. Takedown for Holloway and an escape for Ortmann.

2nd Period: Ortmann takes bottom and gets away.  It's 2-2 now.

3rd Period: Holloway takes bottom. Immediate escape and he leads 3-2. Nothing happens late and that'll do it.
