Tanner Hall is in the building.

Hall started his season with a 15-4 major decision over Jack Kuck of Northern Colorado in Arizona State's comeback win on Friday night. Then he kept the train rolling at the Daktronics Open with another major to get the tournament started, followed by four straight one-point wins to win the title with a holistically clutch performance. 

His final two wins came over #6-Denzel Dejournette of App State and #5-Michael Kroells in the semis and finals, respectively, to come away with the 285-pound championship. 

Tanner Hall's great outing in South Dakota propelled him from No. 11 to No. 4 in the country and make him out FloWrestler of the Week.

Seth Gross, SDSU: Coming in hot! Seth Gross is looking sharp so far as he completed a flawless weekend in his home gym which started with a dominating technical fall over Nathan Boston in the Jackrabbits' 27-9 win over Iowa State. Then en route to the 133-pound title in his home Open, Gross out-scored his opponents 38-3 with his only regular decision coming in the finals where he defeated Mitch McKee 6-2. He finished the weekend with three technical falls, a pin and a regular decision.



David Kocer, SDSU: From unranked to No. 15. Kocer was a catalyst that sparked SDSU early in the dual when he defeated Lelund Weatherspoon, who was ranked 7th and is now 16th, on a last second takedown. Just two days later he claimed a win over Nebraska's Micah Barnes before taking his first loss to Zahid Valencia in the finals of the Daktronics Open.



Zahid Valencia, Arizona State: The dominance is strong in this one. The redshirt freshman has notched five wins so far this season with every single one of them coming with bonus points. After bumping up to 184 to get a tech fall in his debut, he mowed down the field at SDSU with two first period pins, a tech fall over Nick Wanzek, who was ranked 20th at the time, and a 17-6 win over a red hot David Kocer. 



Doyle Trout, Wyoming: It was amazing seeing him back on the mat. After a tragic accident that cost him his leg, Trout made his return to the mat at the Wyoming Cowboy Open where he claimed his first collegiate win with a 6-0 shutout victory. It was his first and last win of the day, however, the fact that he is back on the mat after the accident nearly ended his career is an incredible accomplishment. Welcome back to the mat, Doyle.
