Michigan's Lineup Loses Not One, But Two Double All-Americans
Two All-Americans who could have competed this year in the maize and blue for Michigan won't be in the lineup. We got word yesterday that NCAA finalist Adam Coon is taking a redshirt to recover from an injury.

In addition to Coon being out of the mix, two-time All-American Conor Youtsey will not return to Michigan. Youtsey already graduated, and will not use his final year of eligibility.

But there's a silver lining: bona fide stud and Fargo champion Austin Assad is ready to handle that spot. At heavyweight, the Wolverines are not as fortunate.

Here is a tentative look at the Michigan lineup:

125 - Austin Assad
133 - Stevan Micic
141 - George Fisher
149 - Alec Pantaleo
157 - Brian Murphy
165 - Logan Massa
174 - Myles Amine/Davonte Mahomes
184 - Domenic Abounader
197 - Jackson Striggow/Ayoola Olapo
285 - Dan Perry/Kostya Golobokov

Michigan fans will be excited to get a look at Stevan Micic. He had a great redshirt campaign for Northwestern two years ago, and took an Olympic redshirt last year. He won bronze at Junior Worlds in 2015. Though he had a year of junior eligibility remaining, he decided to not go out for the team, and instead focused on folkstyle. That focus will likely pay dividends for the upcoming season.

The other fab freshman for Michigan is Logan Massa at 165 pounds. Massa has the potential to place high at NCAAs this season.

In addition to the talented freshmen, Michigan returns three All-Americans in Alec Pantaleo, Brian Murphy and Domenic Abounader. Despite the loss of two key starters, Michigan looks to have a very competitive lineup heading into the 2016-17 season.
