Who's #1 is just around the corner, and we have another exciting match to announce: No. 2 Nick Lee will invade the backyard of local Pennsylvania stud, No. 4 Sammy Sasso. Watch Who's #1 LIVE from the Snakepit on Sunday, October 2, at 5PM (EST).
Lee just had an incredible run at Fargo, where he took out Iowa recruit Carter Happel, Minnesota recruit Mitch McKee, and Iowa State recruit Kanen Storr in three straight matches to win a stop sign. The Penn State commit is an Indiana state champion and a three-time state-placer. He fell to Chad Red this season, and Stevan Micic in 2014.
Watch Nick Lee dominate Mitch McKee:
From nearby Nazareth, Sammy Sasso will look to come away with a big win in front of his home crowd inside the Snakepit. Sasso was a Fargo champion last summer, and fell in the Cadet finals this season to Brock Hardy. Sasso is also a two-time Pennsylvania state-placer. He was runner-up in 2015 to Spencer Lee, and fell to Luke Pletcher before a season ago before battling back for third. Sasso also won a FloNational title in March with a dramatic win over Kanen Storr.
Watch Sasso win a dramatic FloNational final against Kanen Storr:
Both Lee and Sasso are extremely offensive and fantastic scramblers, so the action should be nonstop inside the Snakepit.
