AJ Schopp Technique Has Arrived
When AJ Schopp arrived on the college scene, he brought a top game with him like we have never seen before. Schopp would rack up riding time, frustrate opponents, and most importantly pick up a lot of near fall and pins. In his college career Schopp won 133 matches, and 67 of those wins were by fall. For those keeping track at home, HALF of his collegiate wins were by fall. Let that sink in for a moment!

Learn to choose top again with one of the best top technicians we have seen in recent memory!

AJ Schopp Shows Finer Points Of Chop Set Up
Too many top wrestlers don't put much thought into how they line up in referee's position. For top technician, AJ Schopp, it all begins with how he lines up. Instead of touching his opponent with has hands first, Schopp makes first contact with his opponent with his chest. Schopp then shows his unique way of chopping his opponent off of their base.

Ankle Scoop And Using Your Knee For Breakdown
Once on top, Schopp did something like we had never seen before. He would use his leg as another arm on top. In this technique, Schopp shows how to properly lace an ankle on top, and use your leg as another arm to smother his opponent and keep him broken off of his base. Too many people see top wrestling as stalling or a time to rest, but Schopp is constantly attacking. He is constantly attacking hands, and keep heavy pressure on his opponent. Schopp Shows How To Pin With Roll Through Tilt
As I mentioned earlier, AJ Schopp was a near fall machine in college, and the majority of the back points he scored came from this tilt. Schopp secures a cross wrist, lets his opponent hit his base, and then boom hits him with the roll through tilt. Not will you rack up a full set of back points, but Schopp even shows you how to get the fall. Watch Schopp hit this in a match against Mack McGuire

Schopp's Brutal Nearside Cradle
While Schopp would certainly rack up near fall with this cradle, this was his finishing move. If you found yourself in one of Schopp's cradles it was game over. It looks like Schopp's opponent has him dead to rights, but in all actuality, Schopp has his opponent right where he wants them. A perfect example of this was when he decked Jimmy Gulibon at the NCAA Tournament
