Cael Explains Year One Plans For Nick Suriano, Mark Hall
Penn Live's five-part series about Penn State wrestling started on August 8. It's always a source of great intel about the upcoming Penn State squad. We've already learned Jake Varner has been added to the PSU coaching staff.

Now, according to Pennlive.com, Coach Sanderson outlined plans for his two prized freshmen: Nick Suriano and Mark Hall. Going in, the plan with Suriano had always been to wrestle him right away. According to Coach Sanderson, those plans have not changed.

"But a guy like Suriano, we recruited him saying, 'Hey, Nico's a senior, we need you to step in and compete as a true freshman,'' Sanderson said to Pennlive. "He knew that he wanted that. He's preparing to compete. He's in summer school right now.''

While Cael did leave the door open, he made it sound as though there is little reason to expect the No. 1 recruit for the class of 2016, Hall, to wrestle this year.

"Mark Hall, he's training for the Junior World Championships right now, which are in early September in France,'' Sanderson told Pennlive. "He's in summer school, but his plan right now is to train hard and redshirt and get as good as he can and be ready to go in a year.''

Hall takes on PSU teammate Jason Nolf in the Junior World Team Trials finals:
