It's Official, Victor Lebedev Is In
A day after a report came out that UWW President Nenad Lalovic informed Yegor Borisov (Victor Lebedevs father in law)  that Lebedev would be in, it's now 100% official.  Lebedev will be wrestling in the Rio Olympic games, giving Russia their full contingent of competitors.

It's been a long road to Rio, from his controversial 'victories' at Russian Nationals, to saying he was denying the spot, to being named the Olympian.  After it looked like he was going, fall-out from the findings on Russian doping scandal made the IOC deem that any Russian with a previous positive test (Lebedev tested positive in 2006) would be out.  So he's out right? Wrong.

Then the decision went to the Court for Arbitration of Sport who determined Lebedev would be in the Olympic Games.

Today, United World Wrestling sent out the following tweet:

The addition of Lebedev is huge for Russia's Freestyle team.  He is a two-time World Champion and a returning World Bronze medalist.  Though there has been controversy around some of his victories, getting your hand raised is all that matters at the Olympic games.

Here's his win over another World Champion, Iran's Hassan Rahimi:
