More big moves are being made at UNC. A few months after adding Tony Ramos to the UNC wrestling staff, the Tar Heel Wrestling Club has named Olympic champion Kenny Monday the head coach of the Tar Heel Wrestling Club.

Monday has coached at the MMA gym Blackzillians and also spent time as an assistant at Oklahoma State through 2013. Monday was an NCAA champion at Oklahoma State and made two Olympic finals to win gold in 1988 and silver in 1992. UNC will now be one of only a few Division I programs with a full-time freestyle head coach at their RTC.

Coleman Scott released the news via Twitter:

Coleman Scott is entering his second year as the head coach at UNC. The Tar Heels are set to make a push at the national level with All-Americans Ethan Ramos and Joey Ward. The focus for Coach Monday and company will be on Tony Ramos and Josh Kindig. Both will be make the push for world teams moving forward.

We caught up with Coleman Scott in May to discuss the moves being made at UNC.
