James Green Has Bye Into Non-Olympic WTT Finals
The Olympics were originally supposed to be the only world tournament this year for senior level athletes, but United World Wrestling later changed course and announced the six non-Olympic weights would receive their own separate world championships. Those will be held December 10-11 in Budapest, Hungary, which was also the site for the 2013 world championships.

Per USA Wrestling, the procedures have been set for 61kg and 70kg in Men's Freestyle Olympians not being allowed to compete is a UWW stipulation. This is different from 2008 and 2012, when they allowed women to compete at both the Olympics and the world championships in the same year. James Green is a defending world bronze medalist at 70kg and is considered one of the favorites to win the weight class.

At this time, guidelines for Greco-Roman and Women's Freestyle have not been set. USA Wrestling is slated to send out a press release later today which will also hopefully clarify the time and date of the trials. Early speculation is that they will be held at the NYAC in November, coinciding with the Bill Farrell International. Only Americans would be allowed to compete in the non-Olympic weights, but that has not been confirmed.
