FloWrestler of the Week: Ben Darmstadt
A number of guys turned in amazing performances at Junior Duals, but only one dominated high-caliber talent across both styles: Ohio’s No. 3, Ben Darmstadt.

As part of the freestyle championship-winning team, Darmstadt went 8-0 with wins over Brandon Kui, Patrick Brucki, No. 13 Owen Webster, Jake Woodley and No. 7 Brandon Whitman. Only one win was by regular decision: his 13-9 win over Kui.
Not only did he have a flawless showing in freestyle, but he also went undefeated in Greco as well. He pinned Whitman in 5:03 (it only took him 40 seconds in freestyle to get the same results) and defeated Fargo Greco Champion Wyatt Koelling by technical fall, 11-1.
Darmstadt was a one-man wrecking crew, and because of that, he is the FloWrestler of the Week.
Lucas Byrd, OH: The youngster put on a show with a combined record of 16-0 across both styles—all by either tech fall or pin.
Taylor LaMont, UT: Went undefeated in freestyle and Greco with all technical falls and a pin in 24 seconds. He posted huge wins over Fargo Greco champion Gabe Townsell and Ohio’s Tariq Wilson.
Jesse Shearer, ND: Was also undefeated across both styles and had an upset win over No. 12 Joe Grello in freestyle.
Note: Victoria Anthony, Cody Pfau, Jacarra Winchester, Mallory Velte, Tyler Graff and Morgan Smith each won titles at the Canada Cup.
