Team Oklahoma Looking For A Three-Peat
Despite Illinois' dominance at Junior Duals in freestyle (six of the last 10 titles), Team Oklahoma has claimed the past two Junior Freestyle Duals titles in their home state. This year, the Outlaws are sending a staggering 14 state champs, a handful of nationally ranked guys, Fargo champs, and a Cadet World medalist. You can watch all the action beginning tomorrow at 9am CT.

Rhett Golowenski: Now a two-time Oklahoma state champ, Golowenski was once the No. 1 106-pounder in the country last summer. He went perfect at Junior Duals a year ago with wins over Kyle Biscoglia, Pat McKee, and Peter Ogunsonya. However, Golowenski had a rough Fargo showing (1-2), and recently went 2-2 at Cadet World Team Trials. Golowenski will look to get back on track on the national scene this weekend in his home state.

Watch Golowenski dominate Pat McKee at Junior Duals a year ago:

Dalton Duffield: It's crazy to think a Fargo Greco national champion was a back up on the Junior Freestyle Duals roster a year ago, but that's what happens in a state as deep as Oklahoma. Duffield only wrestled one freestyle match last season, but was undefeated in Greco, and is more than capable of winning plenty of matches in freestyle. Duffield is also a two-time Oklahoma state runner-up--he lost to Daton Fix in the finals the past two seasons.

Watch Dalton Duffield win a Fargo Junior Greco title:

Jet Taylor: A two-time Oklahoma state champ, Taylor, should split time with Duffield as they both are listed at 120--what a great problem to have for Team Oklahoma.

No. 2, Daton Fix: Do we really need an introduction here? The Cadet World bronze medalist, Fargo champion, and junior world team member is now a three-time Oklahoma state champion, and outscored opponents 61-0 last year at Junior Duals.

Daton Fix's impressive performance from Beat The Streets:

No. 4, Kaden Gfeller: The newest Oklahoma State commit and three-time Oklahoma state champ will look to once again go undefeated at Junior Duals. A year ago in Tulsa, Gfeller allowed just eight points while going undefeated and picking up wins over Austin Gomes, Ian Parker, Jacob Lizak, Cam Sykora, and Nolan Hellickson.

Check out Gfeller taking it to Austin Gomez:

Beau Duffey: Yet another three-time Oklahoma state champ in the Outlaws line-up, Guffey has found himself in and out of the rankings throughout his high school career.

Brik Filippo: We should see him share time with Guffey at 145 this weekend. Last summer, Filippo strictly wrestled Greco for Team Oklahoma, and finished 4-1 with a win over Junior Fargo champ Ben Brancale. Filippo is no slouch at free or folkstyle either--he took home an Oklahoma high school state championship this year.

No. 11, Wyatt Sheets- The four-time Oklahoma state champion will head to Stillwater, Oklahoma, next year looking to follow in his dad's footsteps of winning a NCAA title in a Cowboy singlet. A year ago at Junior Duals, Sheets went 5-2 and only lost to Brady Berge and Hayden Hidlay in 11-10 barn burner. At the Journeymen Freestyle Classic, Sheets knocked off Cadet World champion Jarod Verkleeren.

Jaryn Curry: One of Oklahoma's rising stars, Curry claimed his first high school state title as a sophomore after a third-place finish as a freshman. A few weeks ago he was just one match away from placing at Cadet World Team Trials.

Other state champs in the line-up: Christian Bahl, Wyatt Adams, Jaxen Gilmore, Dan Baker, Bear Hughes, Zach Marcheselli.
