Cadet World Team Trials Bracket Reactions
Brackets are not yet posted online, but will be shortly. Below are my thoughts on how the brackets drew out.

Keep in mind that like many other USAW events, Cadet World Team Trials are not seeded, but separated based on their 'Level' system which is thus:
- Level 1: Previous Cadet and above National Champion (IN Style)
- Level 2: Previous Cadet and above National 2nd - 8th (IN Style)
- Level 3: Previous Cadet and above National 1st - 3rd (OUT of style, not including folkstyle)

42kg:

It remains to be seen, but the two best wrestlers in the bracket might be the first match of the entire tournament. Kurt McHenry (VA) is the top seed and Cullan Schriever (IA), one of the most promising incoming freshmen, draws him right away.

In the bottom half, another good eighth grader, Caden McCrary (GA) has second seeded Fargo AA Destin Summers (ID). Brandon Kaylor (WA), who was one of the serious contenders at this weight, has moved up to 50kg.

46kg:

Returning World Team Member Malik Heinselman (CO) is the top seed. Of course their are good guys in his path to the finals, but he should be clear to the semi's when he'd likely see Lucas Byrd (OH) or Ridge Lovett (ID).

Steele Dias (NV) who was 3rd last year, sits in the 3 spot. The big first round matchup here comes with Anthony Clark (NJ) vs. Eric Faught (IA).

50kg:

Another top-seeded returning World Teamer in Dylan D'Emilio. He's likely to hit one of the top Junior High wrestlers in the country, Jesse Vasquez (CA) in an excellent Round of 16 match.

Brandon Kaylor (WA) is the 4-seed. Patrick McKee (MN). The bracket is pretty well separated in the bottom half. Fargo AA Aaron Cashman (MN) is the 2-seed.

There are several excellent early matches including Kyle Biscoglia (IA) vs. Bryce Andonian (OH), returning finalist Rhett Golowenski (OK) vs. Colton Yapoujian (CO), and FloNats finalist Ben Kamali (MI) vs. Cashman.

54kg:

Three Fargo Champs highlight the bracket.Jordan Decatur (OH) sits as the 1-seed. Travis Ford-Melton (IL), who was a Fargo Runner-Up to D'Emilio, is in the 8 spot. Real Woods (NM) looms as a darkhorse with no level separation in the bottom quadrant of the top bracket.

Down below, Nick Raimo (NJ), a Fargo Champ at the same weight a year ago, should have a good one in the second round with Ohio's Tommy Hoskins. Roman Bravo-Young (AZ), last year's Fargo Champ at 113, sits as the 2-seed in a quadrant with Josh Saunders (MO), Logan Macri (PA), and Jet Taylor (OK).

58kg:

The two top seeds are Fargo Champ Sammy Sasso (PA) and Fargo Champ, and returning runner-up, Vito Arujau (NY). Sasso should clear the top quarter with little trouble. But the second quarter is stacked with Colin Valdiviez (MO), Beau Bartlett (PA), Jackson Henson (WV), Joey Silva (FL), Theorius Robison (CO), and Alex Thomsen (IA). Unreal.

Arujau will have a solid match with returning placer Max Murin (PA) in round 2. Kyran Hagan (MO) is the 3 seed.

63kg:

The top seed is Cadet World Champion Yianni Diakomihalis (NY), who should cruise to the finals, likely seeing the winner of Cole Matthews (PA) or Jon McGowan (OK) in quarters. The second quad has Alec Hagan (MO), Fargo 3rd placer Will Lewan (IL), and youngsters Justin Ruffin (GA) and Albert Ferrari (TX).

Down below, Jason Renteria (IL) is the 2-seed, his OPRF teammate and Fargo finalist Jaime Hernandez (IL) is the 7. Brayton Lee (IN), who had just one loss in Fargo last year, is the 3-seed with Taylor Brown (MO) the 6.

69kg:

Fargo Champ Joe Lee (IN) is the #1 seed but he drew a really tough Julian Ramirez who he's likely to see in the Round of 16. Fargo AA's Mike O'Malley (NJ) and Eli King (TN) highlight the second quad.

Andrew Merola (NJ), who was 4th at Fargo, is the 2-seed. Although they are separated, heavy hitters Frankie Gissendanner (NY) and Jaryn Curry (OK) are slotted in what you would call unseeded spots. Keep an eye out for a Round of 16 match between Gissendanner and Nelson Brands (IA).

76kg:

Fargo Champ Trevell Timmons (IL) is the top seed. He should be in the clear till semi's when he's likely to face Fargo AA Trent Hidlay (PA). Other than that, a rather thin top half of the bracket.

Down below, Clay Lautt (KS), who just made the Cadet GR World Team, is the #2 seed. It would set up for a very good quarter should he and Fargo Runner-Up Jack Jessen (IL) collide.

As the #3 and #6 seeds, respectively, watch for a showdown between Fargo 3rd Travis Wittlake (OR) and Fargo Runner-Up Marcus Coleman (IA).

85kg:

Really loaded weight featuring five wrestlers that had 1 loss or less at Fargo last year - and that's not counting Michael Beard (PA), who's ranked Top 5 in the nation.

Fargo Champ Jake Boyd (MO) is the top seed. He'll get the winner of a good first round match in Daniel Kerkvliet (MN) and Jared Krattiger (WI), and is likely to see Andrew Davison (IN), who was 3rd in Fargo, in the quarters.

Double Fargo Champ, Jacob Warner (IL) is the 4-seed and headed for a good one with Fargo Runner-Up, Brandon Whitman (MI) in his quarter. Sean O'Malley (NJ) is the 2-seed but he draws Beard in the second round. Fargo Champ Jacob Raschka (WI) is the 3-seed in a quad with Fargo AA John Borst (VA).

100kg:

Last year's Cadet World Champion Gable Steveson (MN) is the top seed. There isn't anyone up top that has earned AA status in FS, so he should cruise.

Cohlton Schultz (CO) who made the GR team on Friday, and who lost to Steveson in Fargo finals last year, is the biggest threat in the bottom. That being said, his road isn't easy. He should hit Fargo AA's Brady Daniel (MD), in the quarters, and Noah Adams (WV), in the semi's.
