Frank Molinaro Fails To Qualify 65KG For Olympics
The United States will not be represented at Rio at 65kg. Frank Molinaro fell in the quarterfinals in the Last Chance Olympic Qualifier in Istanbul, Turkey. Frank began his tournament beating David Safaryan, the 2014 World Champion and Japan's Yuhi Fujinami.

In the quarterfinals, Frank ran into a familiar face in Boris Novachkov. The former Cal Poly All American trains at Stanford at the California RTC. Novachkov downed Molinaro 5-2 to eliminate Molinaro.

This will be the first time USA Men's Freestyle will not have a competitor at the Olympic Games. This concludes a very disappointing final weekend for Team USA across all three styles. America sent 6 athletes to Turkey to qualify their respective weights. The lone additional qualifier was Jesse Thielke at 59kg for Greco. Ravaughn Perkins, Joe Rau, Kelsey Campbell, Tamyra Mensah and Frank Molinaro all failed to reach the finals.

All told, Team USA will only have 13 of the 18 weights represented at the Rio Olympics.

Here's Frank's round 1 win over World Champion David Safaryan
