The lone remaining Top 100 prospect for the Class of 2016 is now off the board.

Outstanding lightweight Danny Vega (AZ) has committed to Iowa State University.

His addition makes the Cyclone Class of '16 even more impressive. Last week, FloWrestling dubbed their recruiting haul the #7 class this year. Vega was ranked 45th on the Senior Big Board and joins four other Cyclone commitments ranked in the Top 67.

Originally committed to Grand Canyon before their program was cut this spring, Vega confirmed his commitment to IAWrestle.com, who broke the news.

“The situation in Grand Canyon was unfortunate for wrestling but it really open the doors for my future. I have wanted to come to Iowa State since I was in seventh grade," Vega told IAWrestle.

A career 125lb. prospect, Vega has enjoyed success at major tournaments across the country. This year he won both USAW Preseason and Folk National tournaments and capped off his career with a win at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic. In 2014 he was 3rd at the prestigious Super 32 after winning USAWrestling's Triple Crown.
