Daniel Chad Transferring To North Carolina
With Grand Canyon having cut its program this Spring, questions arose as to where some of the talent accumulated in Arizona would wind up.  Daniel Chaid turned in a strong year for Grand Canyon last year at 285 and has made the decision to transfer to North Carolina.

The California native has spent time at both Oklahoma University and Grand Canyon.  He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Tar Heels.  Coming off of a 15-2 season, Chaid is eyeing the 197 pound spot for this coming season.

Chaid has spent time from 184, 197 and 285 in past seasons.  This move will likely see Chip Ness (NCAA qualifier at 197) head down to 184 for next year.   UNC has already received commitments from  Andrew Gunning (285) and Matt Rowland (174) for the class of 2016.
