It turned out to be a much longer recruiting process for Nick Reenan than he expected, but Reenan has finally found his next stop. The fourth-ranked senior in the class of 2016 has decided to attend North Carolina State.

Reenan, a senior at Wyoming Seminary, originally selected Northwestern in the fall of 2014. But when the program found itself in turmoil with the firing of Drew Pariano and several lackluster performances, Reenan began to consider other options.

Reenan is currently ranked No. 1 at 182 pounds despite weighing in the mid-170’s. During his spectacular high school career, Nick won four Fargo titles, Ironman, Super 32, FloNationals and a host of other elite tournaments and competitions. He is also very skilled in the international styles and won Junior Pan-American gold in both freestyle and Greco-Roman.

Reenan projects as a 165 or 174 at the next level. Reenan can wrestle at an extremely fast pace, and exploits opponents' mistakes consistently. He can move well for his size, and utilizes upper-body tactics as well as low ankle attacks from neutral.

Reenan, who is also ranked fourth in the pound-for-pound rankings, selected North Carolina State over Missouri, Virginia Tech and Penn. Reenan joins an already loaded recruiting class for the Wolfpack that includes Hayden Hidlay, Daniel and Thomas Bullard, Kellen Devlin, and Tariq Wilson.

Reenan announced his decision on FloWrestling Radio Live today at around the 54-minute mark.
