2016 Beat The Streets Live On Flo
This year's event, dubbed "United In The Square," will feature wrestlers from three Beat the Streets' city programs in addition to the main event: USA vs. Iran.
Not only will some of the biggest United States men's freestyle stars be in action, but world champions Helen Maroulis and Adeline Gray will take on Samantha Stewart and Justina Di Stasio of Canada respectively. Two-time world bronze medalist Andy Bisek will also compete in Times Square taking on Kim Hyeon-Woo of Korea.
"We're excited to once again be working with Beat the Streets New York to bring this high-profile wrestling event into the homes of people across the country," FloWrestling General Manager Joe Williamson said. "It's a great opportunity to highlight some of the best wrestlers in the world, and also to raise awareness for a non-profit that is doing excellent work with youth."
The broadcast will begin at 3:45 PM EST on Thursday, May 19 with matches that highlight wrestlers from the Beat the Streets program. At 4:45pm, the New York City PSAL Girls Dual Meet Championships will take place, with Iran taking on the United States following at 6pm EST.
