In the one-class state of New Jersey, it’s pretty tough to win just one state title. But Nick Suriano defied the odds this past weekend when he came away with his fourth.
And not only did he claim his fourth straight, but he completed his high school career with 159 wins against zero losses. He also only gave up one takedown in that four-year span when Forest Park’s (VA) Tommy Aloi took him down in the quarterfinals of the Beast of the East tournament his freshman year (2012). It was the first and it was the last. Then this weekend in Atlantic City, NJ, Suriano capped off his career with a 3-1 win over Delbarton’s Ty Agaisse, who he defeated in last year’s state finals as well.
Suriano finished with an unblemished 41-0 season record to go along with his 159-0 career record which included 69 pins, 21 tech falls and 33 major decisions.
Nick Suriano’s crazy four-year term of dominance that was finished off with his fourth consecutive New Jersey state title makes him our FloWrestler of the Week presented by Cliff Keen.
Suriano has had some incredible wins over the years. Take a look at some of them here.
Super 32: win over Spencer Lee
Alex Dieringer, OK. State: Won his fourth straight Big 12 title.

Tony Ramos, Tervel Dlagnev, Erin Clodgo and Jordan Holm (Team USA Olympic Weight Qualifiers): Qualified their weights for the Olympics at the Pan Am Olympic Qualifier.
