Top 10 Match-Ups Of The Weekend
We're sending the regular season out with a bang with the top 10 potential match-ups of the weekend. I chose these based on entertainment value, high level wrestling and how they impact the national landscape as we head towards March! Enjoy!

10. 133 - #6 George DiCamillo, UVA v. #17 Dom Forys, Pitt

All ACC match up between two absolute GOERS.  There’s a distinct possibility DiCamillo gets to his ties and suffocates Forys. But if they start mixing it up points could pile up quickly.  DiCam is better, but this still could be a blast.

9. 141 - #9 Joey Ward, UNC v. #1 Dean Heil, Ok State (LIVE ON FLO)

Ward has been outstanding this year.  While he’s not been on Heil’s level (who has?) Ward is stingy as they come and very good on top.  This one has potential to be in the balance late!

8. 285 - #3 Ty Walz, VT v. #4 Adam Coon, Michigan

We’ve seen this one twice before and they’ve been quite similar.  Styles make fights they say.  Walz has been able to get to his high crotch and finish and finish well against Coon.  Whoever gets the win here could earn a spot opposite Gwiazdowski.

7. 149 - #8 Mitch Finesilver, Duke v. #6 Jason Tsirtsis, Northwestern

I like Finesilver a lot.  This is a great test for an upstart guy like Finesilver.  Finesilver will attack continuously.  Tsirtsis’ ability to get to his attacks and defend Finesilver’s low-ankle shots will be paramount.

6. 285 - #5 Austin Marsden, Ok State v. #12 Nick Nevills, PSU

Really want to see this from just a Nick Nevills perspective.  We know how good Marsden is, and we know how Marsden handled this match-up last time around.  What I want to see is how Nevills looks and if his loss to Wessel was rust, or an indication of where he stands in the pecking order.

5. 165 - #6 Daniel Lewis, Missouri v. #9  Austin Wilson, Nebraska

Don’t choose bottom Austin Wilson.  Lewis has rattled off quite a run of wins lately and is looking better as the season progresses.  Austin Wilson is very tough positionally.  This could be a great style match up.

4. 149 - #3 Lavion Mayes, Missouri v. #4 Jake Sueflohn, Nebraska

Sueflohn brings a ridiculous motor and relentless attacks.  Lavion Mayes loves to capitalize on guys pressuring forward and firing off his double.  It’s a tremendous clash of styles and something will have to give.

3. 184 - #5 Zack Zavatsky, VT v. #4 Domenic Abounader, Michigan

Whoa boy, excited for this rematch. Abounader took this one last time but the way the match played out, there’s plenty of reason to believe Zavatsky could reverse the outcome.  Abounader managed to get his hand raised last time and he’ll be the favorite year and look to cap off an outstanding regular season.

2. 174 - #2 Ethan Ramos, UNC v. Chandler Rogers, Ok State (LIVE ON FLO)

You guys may think a match between the #2 guy and a ‘backup’ shouldn’t be this close to #1, but I’m really excited for this one.  Rogers is as wide open as they come.  Ramos is incredibly offensive in his own right.  Ramos is probably better positionally than Rogers, but Chandler just needs to connect on one of his big moves to put himself in contention for a major upset.  The other dynamic is that Rogers could be auditioning for a starting job right now with Crutchmer being injured.

1. 157 - #5 Joe Smith, Ok State v. #1 Jason Nolf, PSU

Their Scuffle final was a classic.  Smith proved he belonged, Nolf showed he was still the standard for the weight class.  Both guys will attack and attack consistently, this match will take place in the NWCA Championship dual to determine the National Duals Champion.
