FloWrestler of the Week: Bo Nickal, PSU
After watching his performance at the Southern Scuffle, it’s safe to say that "Bo Knows Wrestling."

Bo Nickal proved to everyone that he’s coming for that NCAA title and the way he took down the field en route to the 174-pound title, he’s on a path to do just that. He averaged 10+ points this weekend and showed exactly why he’s deserving of his new rankings boost.

In one of the premier matches of the tournament Nickal went up against previously second-ranked returning NCAA runner-up Brian Realbuto of Cornell. These guys left it all on the mat with crazy scrambles and intense moments from start to finish which ultimately resulted in a 14-7 victory for Nickal. He carried that momentum into the finals where he defeated North Carolina’s Ethan Ramos 11-7.

Bo Nickal’s great performance earned him the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler Award and also makes him our FloWrestler of the Week.

Other FloWrestler of the Week Nominees:

Luke Pletcher, Greater Latrobe: Pletcher picked up his second straight Powerade title with a win over Micky Phillippi to cap off 2015. But not only was it his second straight over Phillippi, it was his fourth Powerade title making him the sixth wrestler to accomplish this feat.

Andew Long, Grand View: Long absolutely dismantled the 141-pound field at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championship. He won five straight matched with each one coming with bonus points.

Emilio Saavedra, ODU: Saavedra came into the Midlands tournament as the 13 seeds and ended up with the championship. He defeated two-time NCAA All-American Mason Beckman, along with Nebraska’s Eric Montoya, Northern Iowa’s Josh Alber to claim the 133-pound title.
