Top 8 Matches From The 2016 Southern Scuffle
With the 2016 Southern Scuffle in the books, itÂ’s now time to go back and check out the best matches of the tournament. This top 7 list is a matter of personal preference. Be sure to weigh in below on what matches blew you away!

8. Brian Realbuto, Cornell vs Kyle Crutchmer, OSU

#1 and #2 wrestled for FIFTH at the Scuffle! It was a great one too with Crutchmer using incredible level changes and pressure late for the comeback win in the last 15 seconds.

7. Bo Nickal, PSU vs Fox Baldwin - UVA

Not especially competitive, but Bo Nickal teleports on a go-behind in the 3rd period. So there's that.

6. Tommy Thorn, Minnesota vs Bryce Meredith, Wyoming

The definition of grit in this last finish from Tommy Thorn. Thorn trailed most of this match. Meredith wrestled well and gave Thorn fits on that finish, but came up short at the LAST second (PS give us your thoughts on the winning TD).

5. 165 - Logan Massa, Michigan vs Shakur Rasheed, PSU

7 minutes of scrambling, anyone?

4. 174 - Ethan Ramos, UNC vs Kyle Crutchmer, OSU

While everyone was watching Nickal/Realbuto, the other semi delivered a great one. Ramos and Crutchmer went back and forth, but a late (and slightly controversial) takedown won it for Ramos.

3. Jason Nolf, PSU vs. Joe Smith, OSU

The match we wanted to see came to fruition and delivered. Watch Joe Smith gain confidence as the match goes on. Who wants to see the rematch!?

2. Jordan Conaway, PSU v. George DiCamillo - UVA

ConawayÂ’s pace gives him his edge. His win over DiCamillo reminded me of his win over Tyler Graff a few years back. Go-behindÂ’s and all.

1. Bo Nickal, PSU vs Brian Realbuto, Cornell

Was there any doubt? Maybe the best 2 periods of wrestling IÂ’ve ever seen in my life. Then Bo NickalÂ’s breakneck pace took over!
