Kolat Wasn't The Only One To Be Robbed Of Gold
In Episode 2 Cary Kolat references the rightful world champion Takahiro Wada of Japan. Kolat beat him in the first round of the 1997 World Championships. This is his 1995 world final against Elbrus Tedeev. As you watch the match you are lead to believe Wada won the match with exposure in overtime. This result didn't hold up, and they were switched before getting on the podium to receive their medals. United World Wrestling has come a long way from the wild west days of Fila.
